Sharding will not be just the launch

Sharding will not be just the launch or 10 days.
Once it is in they will never get to the point where "We feel we can remove it entirely due to server health" Or some crap.

Make your peace with the fact that they are making classic sharded and it will never be fully removed.
What does it matter? If the game is fun, occasional sharding won't even be noticed. How about focus on the gameplay, experience, and community over a detail you wouldn't even notice unless it was pointed out?
AQ Event will have sharding, watch.

Sharding, if implemented, will ALWAYS be noticeable.

You simply have no idea what you are talking about.
Meh. I'm willing to be optimistic with it. I hate sharding, I don't like it at all, but I understand the goal with it.

You are making a claim that has not been proven - doomsdaying this whole situation.
Lets hear what they have to say at the panel, let them consider the obvious backlash they are currently getting and hopefully we will have classic without sharding

I have 15 years of Blizzard lies to base my opinion on. oops. Org has too many people better turn the sharder on... ooops.. too many people at AQ.. gots to shard that... oops..
Say no to sharding.

Well, no. Sharding is always noticeable. It's noticeable in the Retail game, so it will be especially noticeable in Classic with less things going on.

Also, it always starts out with one detail. Then BOOM, BFA gets dropped on you.

Burning crusade came out like 12 years ago... your time frame is off.
They didn't even confirm sharding for release yet, the blue post had a maybe in there. I agree we should fight against that, but you are jumping to unfounded conclusions.

I'm not saying to shard, i'm personally against it.
I'm just saying you're being irrational.

How does one focus on community when that community is killed by sharding.

Logic.
