Sharding kills community and server identity

And that excuses you from lying to try and convince others to join your position?

I said lieing or stretching the truth.
They don’t need to shard a couple dozen people but do it anyway.

You’re just making up numbers to fit your narrative. I counted over 120 people around the Stormwind AH when I logged onto Stormrage the other day.

You only saw a couple dozen people. That doesn’t mean there weren’t actually more in that zone.

Should I find his posts where he was complaining about two full Horde raids camping him while he was trying to do World Quests? That sounds like more than a couple dozen to me.

/who is a wonderful thing

It is, but I highly doubt you actually used it.

That situation i would have been more then happy to shard out of.

/who doesn’t count the opposing faction. It also defaults to your level range last I used it.

I use it all the time, helps so i can see how many people might be herbing

I don’t think /who shows people from other servers that are in the shard with you. Wouldn’t be an accurate way of determining players in a zone.

…Why does that even matter?

/who zone name.
I always add some for the other faction.

Because if you’re in a heavily trafficked area they can get picked before you get to them? Even with multitap.

Anyway I’m out

Then come back later or just keep sweeping the area… like everyone else…

There hasn’t been a much bigger immersion bust than the inability to trade some linen to someone standing right next to me just because they’re on a different realm. This is a problem that has not, and probably will not be addressed in retail. If it creeps into Classic, it’s not going to be a good time.

Um… first, sharding is on your OWN realm. Second, invite them to a friggin’ group and you’ll be in a shard together. You should have been grouped up when going to trade, anyway. Third, how is it an immersion bust if you don’t even know they’re right next to you but on a different shard?

Sharting sure kills a party that’s for sure.

My mistake - you are right. Being unable to trade the linen to someone who is in the area that can’t be seen is the same deal.

Again, you can fix this by grouping up with them. You probably should have been grouped up to begin with.
