In my guild we’ve recently noticed a sharding issue on our server where some of us will be in one instance of orgrimmar, while others will be in a different are. It has nothing to do with warmode or any specific thing we have been able to think of. it started the last few days. Is there anyway to permanently fix this? The only reason we notice is we all hang out in one specific area when we arent doing anything else and sometimes we will be in a dead shard of horde.
Unfortunately, there’s no permanent fix. This is just the way the realms work. It’s intended to control the population so that people don’t have a laggy experience. It could be that the reason this started so recently is because Garrosh was connected to your realm, resulting in a huge influx of players.
The easiest fix is just to group up with your guildies. That’ll pull you all into the same shard, and even if you drop the group, you’ll remain in it.
