Sharding - initial zone

Blizzard should absolutely implement sharding for the first couple zones, up until level 10. At that point the congestion will begin to dissipate.

Servers being shut down, long queue’s etc. on a launch day, when people have requested off work, etc. will be a huge dissapontment.

The actual community forming doesn’t happen in its essence in the lower levels, so I don’t personally think any damage will be done just for launch. Maybe keep sharding the 1-10 zones for a couple weeks, then drop them off permanently, never to share again.

My opinion.

Literally my first memory of playing WoW was making a night elf druid, going into that spider cave and dying over and over. Then I grouped up with a few people and we started taking them out. I immediately fell in love with the game.
How will the zones thin out if everyone can blow through the earlier ones at the same rate due to sharding? All it will do is push the crowds ahead into the next zones so then what, shard those too? And then you're talking about sharding contested zones with all the pvp implications...
They are releasing this early summer when most people will be outside and after a 6 month sub runs out.
What magically happens at level 11 that you won't need sharding ?
There's only 3 zones for 10-20 and the majority will go to Westfall because of DM.

Do you expect that 70% of the players that started are quitting at level 10 ?
I disagree
