Sharding: Destroyed My Server!

But they were on the same server, And people would blacklist jerks. And a lot of times they would get kicked…

Now was it Nirvana Before the cross realm servers nope… But being a jerk had its consequences pre CRZ…

Now Being a jerk has a lot less consequences post CRZ

at what point was lfg realm specific?

how has this changed?

the “consequences” pre-crz were minimal.
crz didn’t stop jerks being jerks, it just means you’re more likely to encounter them because you’re coming across more players in the world.

Meh believe what you want, i can just go off what i saw…have a nice day sweet cheeks.

They connect realms instead of mega servers so a ton of the population doesnt have to suddenly change their name.

and i’m going off what i saw.

unless your server had a grand total of about 12 people, blacklisting was simply a threat… not a reality.

Whatever sweet cheeks have a nice day

And the forum apologist has emerged!

If I said something factually inaccurate, feel free to jump in and point out where I am wrong.

But hey, its easier to change a discussion from the topic and words presented to the person you don’t like so you can blanket dismiss their point without ever addressing anything.

But hey, gotta get that new forum alt going so you can be edgy and not have your opinions traced back to your main characters. That would be awfully embarrassing.

I think you should change your forum name to “Mr. Obvious”, it is way more fitting.

For someone that gets so wound up over others having a different opinion…yet laments when people shut out theirs. I find this all intriguing.

It seems like people are allowed to have an opinion and participate in discussions. As long as they agree with you.

You’re right. Who am I to deny the people what they want?

A lot of your posts aren’t opinions though. You just regurgitate information that everyone already knows.

A lot of people don’t seem to take very basic things into account of their statements. :man_shrugging:

If WoW was combined into megaservers, we’d have riots about people losing names they are attached to. Whereas with a connected server, that doesn’t happen.

In Lord of the Rings online they just gave people titles with their original servers when they merged. That way people got to keep their names. Blizzard could do this, I’m not a fan of Megaservers, but I think they need to do actual server mergers and get rid of the CRZ once and for all.

It is a horrible system for MMO, it kills communities, because it makes it tough to make connections with players that you most likely will never see again.

I get why they let this persist, because they don’t want the stigma of server mergers and the other part is probably a technical issue since they are probably using fewer actual servers to run the game now.

Any way you slice it, it is bad for the game. The people who defend it are a very small minority of players.

Super dramatic statements just make any arguments to support your possible issue unbearably worthless.

I am not defending CRZ. I am talking about connected realms.

I want my name to be Akston. Not have it changed to Akston of Bloodhoof.
