Why can’t we shapeshift from cat form to cat form without changing to caster form inbetween? Why do I need to go from cat form to bear form and back to cat form in my macros?
Can we please make it so I can go from cat form directly to cat form again but keep the stupid global cooldown inbetween? It would make the class a lot easier to play, especially when i don’t have any need to switch to bear form.
It’s powershifting, and it was deliberately removed eons ago. It isn’t coming back. Of course, the OP also thinks they need a macro to go from travel form on land to travel form in water, so to each their own.
In pvp for shifting out of roots and snares and wanting to stay in cat form. I understand the need for a global cooldown between the shifts, but it makes no sense going from cat to caster (or bear) and then back to cat. Just get rid of the caster (or bear) form inbetween and keep the global cooldown so it is smoother. Often times you get caught in that stupid caster form with CC and it further makes the class feel clunky. The guy responding above me is a tard. He mentions “one” thing that isn’t really an issue and turns it into some kind of scolding event that requires everything else discussed be tossed out of the conversation.
I wouldn’t call someone that when you’ve already claimed to need chatgpt to write wow macros and use one for travel form from land to sea. Maybe ask chatgpt what a hypocrite is though.
back in the day you’d make a macro for each form so you’d swap back into the form you were in to break roots and snares. So if you were flag carrying you’d swap bear to bear to clear snares without losing armor and health. Now to clear the root or snare you have to basically be ready to die.
Yea, but I’m not asking for insta switches between the same form.
We can keep the global cooldown in between, but for the love of god why do I have to switch from cat to caster to cat (or cat to bear to cat). It’s a very clunky mechanic and honestly not necessary if the global cooldown remains between the shapeshifting from cat to cat.
And by the way, the ursine vigor talent will still give you that armor and health bonus each time you switch into bear form. So you can get it in bear form, then switch to cat and back to bear form to regain it again.
Anyway, the class would feel so much smoother. That’s just one of the reasons you see very few ferals in pvp. With boomkins it’s a bit less of an issue because you are ranged and generally don’t have an entire BG targeting you like poor feral in cat form that is an easy target to take down. The nerfed regrowth for feral also plays a major role in why they are squishy.
No, you’re asking for something that doesn’t follow logic. How do you shift from cat to cat while keeping a gcd and it not being old powershifting?? What you’re asking for is nonsense.
You could probably remake a macro for cat to bear. But in my personal experience, I always preferred to swap to travel from and then hit a wild charge to get out of trouble. Bear is just really slow.
why does it make no sense? You can cast regular spells with one keybind using “autohotkey” by adding a 1.5 second delay between them.
I’m sure the devs could make it so there is a 1.5 second delay between cat forms without switching us to stupid caster (or bear) form inbetween.
You are currently in cat form.
You press the cat form shapeshift keybind.
You incur global cooldown and wait 1.5 seconds.
You are now in cat form again.
You’re leaving out the entire reason they removed power shifting in the first place. It wasn’t to just add a gcd to it. This is rudimentary game play and shouldn’t need explained.
None of this would be a major issue if they made us less squishy in cat form. We could get by long enough to do some damage before being forced out of cat form.
Maybe they could add a talent that reduces barkskin recast time to 30 seconds but is now only usable in cat form.
They could also make it so when feral switches to bear form, they retain like 40% to 60% of their damage from cat form for 6 seconds.
And obviously they could tweak regrowth a bit so it doesn’t take 10 casts to refill your own health bar.
