I’m typically playing against premades, since i play in one. Anecdotal 5 paladin matches im sure happen. Do you win those matches? Because 5 paladins seems like a loss since paladins are bad and are not force multipliers like Shamans are
No, i’m saying shamans were not vastly overpowered, so the people that deviate towards power jump over to them when they noticed how powerful they were.
Like i said before, i like the shaman class; i don’t want to see it destroyed and i want it to be viable.
They shouldn’t be over powered, just like any other spec shouldn’t.
Martyrdom is the same slot as Divine Storm.
Nice try
Shamans have Earth bind totem, one of the only AoE slows in the game.
They also have a short cooldown ranged slow that (can) do considerable damage.
You also have one of the only ranged interrupts on a small cooldown.
And the only class outside of priest with a spammable purge.
Just because you don’t have a ‘stun’ doesn’t mean you don’t have ‘CC’, unless we have vastly different ideas of what CC is.
I was of the opinion that ‘CC’ meant ‘Crowd Control’.
Na 5 palis + a druid in wsg is usually an alliance win. We lost 3-2.
I like how you hide the fact that the slow that does a considerable 250 damage is also on the same 6 second cooldown as our interrupt. Making the abilities sound way more than the are. Good try though. It would take me a 45-60 seconds to frost shock someone to death. Sounds “considerable” to me.

Shamans are doing 350-500 dps in PVP while having all their utility. They have now become the PVP master race. Any shaman that tries to make an argument of this is trying to keep things the way they are for obvious reasons.
That’s how I felt about Paladins in P1 lol
If they reached you it was game over.
Tried to fight back? Bubble, lol

Which is dropped at their feet…
Wasn’t aware that your character couldn’t do anything while slowed. Tell those priests to stop dispelling themselves, they’re CC’d And those dang druids too…
Sharing a CD with that apparently “Loss of control” 20 yard ranged slow.
(Also, if they’re WotE such as all the whining is about- it’s a melee interrupt.)
Lucky us, now where’s the loss of control?
Yeh, control.
Loss of control of your character. THat thing that happens while you’re feared, Stunned, Polymorphed, Icetrapped, etc…
Notice how nobody is requesting “Frostshock CC” in dungeons?

So 2 rounds of melee and 1 global where the shaman had to get to you through the rest of your team and he did as much damage as 1 caster crit. Not seeing the issue here.

I enjoy fighting them they die super quick.now pallys in stv thei4 a pain to fight but its. Still winnable
Lmao let the crybabies cry these posts are most likely made by melee .Ele has always been one shot king and they were super strong at 40 in era too because of talents …
That’s what a toolkit is.
You have the option to choose which tool to use at which time.
They are amazing abilities with utility for many circumstances.
Downplaying that is an argument not in good faith.
Shaman have options but to not include the limitations is disingenuous. If I frost shocked I cannot interrupt for 6 seconds. In group pvp 6 seconds is death.

You act like a spammable purge doesn’t completely negate half the classes in the games premier abilities.
You complain about druids shifting out of a slow you can then reapply to run away (not win the fight) yet neglect to consider you can purge eclipse and all their buffs that make them do any sort of damage or their primary healing sources (HoTs).
Or purge away with a single click and virtually no mana (and also auto attack for 400dps) most of a mages damage source (buffs/procs), or a disc priests best abilities like PWS, 420hp Fort buff, their damage negation (Inner Fire), ground their only CC (Fear).
Those are just some examples, but their are many more. A shamans toolkit is vast for many scenarios, are a massive force multiplier in group fights, and are 1v1 powerhouses. You cannot refute that, it is simple math and anyone who has been in pvp the last few days is aware of this or is not paying attention.

It’s not like Shamans can wear mail, increase their total health by 30%, reduce damage taken by 10%, reduce chance to be crit by 6%, be immune to snares, and snare all at the same time. Right?
WSG is not AV where a caster can hide behind a pile of 20 melee in a clash. It takes no effort for any melee to get on top of a caster in WSG. You would indeed have a point for Enhancement Shamans being able to burst that high in melee range if Shamans were not tanks, could not snare, and were not immune to snares. But this is not at all the case. The damage output of Enhancement Shamans in PvP is grossly over tuned, just like several caster spells.
For an Enhancement Shaman, why would you need to worry about not being able to interrupt for 6 seconds when this is Classic where being able to dual wield and chain instant melee abilities turns a 1.5 second cast into a 6 second cast thanks to infinite push back?

Because there’s more than one enemy in most PvP and it is frequently necessary to target swap.
In this meta, if I get past the fears, stuns, snares, roots, caster damage output, and other melee on your side, it’s going to hurt. And it should. Welcome to balance.
Lol… use your TEAM to cc them. Its a melee dps that has no gap closer or escape and you just sit there and get auto attacked? You are bad at pvp
I’m looking for your post saying the same about how paladins were soooooo much better than shamans and everyone else before during P1.
I think I missed it.
