I mean yay? Not only as a shaman in SoD but also as one on and off the last 20yrs in WOW. I can count on my hand how many times shamans have been “so much better than paladins and everyone else”
Yeah how dare shamans be able to exist beyond just bringing totems for other melee and casters! Let alone be strong in the rare times in WoW’s history.

Honestly shaman are about where they should be, we will see how things go in the next phase. As for ret, frost mages, and ranged hunters, they simply need a boost to get them upto par.
Really the only big issue right now is the PVP damage, and that should probably be dealt with by applying a blanket debuff to all PvP damage, and buffing healers to better handle spike damage.
You clearly play a shaman.

On paper. In reality, double rockbiter when DW is like a 350% AP increase compared to 2H WF, which is why anyone plays 2H. It’s buffing your AP on gear, vs the 980+ you get from DW with the 20% Alpha change.
100% agreed. Now keep that energy for other classes. Just because they were monsters in the past doesn’t mean they need to continue doing so.
There is always going to be a top, why not shaman from time to time? Sorry to the people who picked the classical Op classes for classic and are doing slighlty worse than they did back then.

Not the worst take I’ve seen today, tbh. Though of all classes, “That’s The World of Warcraft That You Play” isn’t as accurate with shaman in 2024 as some other classes:

Repentance > JoC > HoJ > Exo > SoM SoC > CS > White hit > Exo after AoW proc > DS > White hit > probably another Exo (especially if you’re grouped with a feral for Wild Strikes) JoM JoC. (EDIT: Made a typo with SoM and JoM instead of SoC and JoC. Striking them out when fixing them to avoid bad faith posting that will try to call out my typo as a “dirty delete.”)
Anything that can’t go immune, or at least shirk off the majority of CC and damage, is susceptible to the massive burst in PvP right now. Not to mention that warrior is the only DPS right now that’s doing more than ~70%-75% physical damage, so the huge armor on shaman(and meta lock) is kinda meh. The total damage percent & CtbC reduction is rather nice, though.

My only complaint is their massive auto attacks that nearly 1 shot you as they spam purge while still being able to attack you. Maybe reduce their AA dmg and buff SS+LL
For ret clarification, try Exo from range>Rep get to melee range> DS+AA or Hoj > DS AA most of your targets will be dead simply from this. So really ret isnt any different than enhance rn. Pally also dominated 90% of p1 pvp
