If I cast waterwalking on myself and stand above water and try to fish in a pool, as soon as I right click the first catch, I drop into the water and don’t get the fish. Basically it is impossible to fish while waterwalking and this seems new. I’ve tried orienting my character at different angles “up” so the game doesn’t think I’m trying to submerge, but really i’m not moving at all so it shouldn’t matter. Just standing there fishing and click on the bobber.
Weird. I just tested with my shaman and she was able to fish just fine. I tested with camera above me, beside me, below me, in front and behind.
I’m not having a problem either. I’ve been fishing at the Darkmoon faire lately.
Might be a mouse problem? Time for a new one?
maybe when you are casting you might be pushing downwards with your mouse?
I’m having the exact same problem on my Shaman. Did you happen to find a solution?
This is an issue with the raft toy as well, but it isn’t a bug, it is a matter of you using your directional keys for movement to point and click on the fishing bobber.
It matters on your camera angle. If your camera is pointed a certain way, the game will mistake you wanting to submerge.
This wasn’t a problem before on dk or shaman for me (no matter camera angle). It’s happening to my Shaman on classic, I was a little surprised to find it behaving the same way on retail.
I do not have this issue on my shaman in TBClassic and I was able to cast fishing while waterwalking within the last week for sure
