This is my Orc Shaman that I played in retail. I’d like to play one in Classic, since I love the gameplay, style and sheer awesomeness of the Shammy life. I’m late to the Classic party and I’m stuck between which race to choose. I don’t really care much about min/maxing as a casual. Do I go for the Rasta troll life or the calm, collected Earthmother feels of the Tauren?
Tauren cuz you look badass with a thicc mount and their racial will save you from dying

Eh, I’m Elemental and I’ve been a fan of War Stomp —> Chain Lightning + Shock. It’s a nice bit of safe burst damage. Plus, Tauren’s just, like, the best. Naturally. /moo

Orc if it’s a pvp server of if you plan on doing BGs. The stun resist is OP.

Simple, PVP? Go orc. PVE? Go troll. Realistically Tauren is the worst of the 3 in all aspects
Purely for cosmetics I like male orc and male troll, male orc cus big shoulders, male troll cus they’re fun and have nice emotes

Tauren because /moo which makes them the sexy race of the horde in classic. If you get a female human or night elf mask from trick or treat and dance on mailboxes while moo’ing, you’ll make ALL the gold.

Femtaur all the way. Males are ok until you take the female into account.
Between the two, I would choose troll.
I’ve always enjoyed the idea of being a big tauren. But after level 10, I just can’t seem to keep with it. They’re so big it feels like you move so slow. They can’t fit through some areas easily, especially on a mount. Camera trying to see passed your own character is a pain.

Orc for enhancement. Tauren for basic cc availability. Troll for heals/ele. Let’s be real though. No one takes dps shamans seriously at end game.
This for now - but wait until PvP is a ranked thing and shaman of all specs are going to shine. Personally I prefer Orcs if possible but Trolls close second. I don’t enjoy playing Tauren (though war stomp IS nice) as they are just too big and make for an easy target.
The real question is: do you want people asking you to share your weed, or do you want to be steak?

For me, it just depends on character looks and animations. I picked Tauren for my Shaman (and Druid) simply because I find the character animations of orcs and trolls less enjoyable to spend 60 levels with.
