Shaman Tanks Karazhan 11/11 World First

We all know if it happened and they succeeded you guys would just say they were being carried by the rest of the raid and move your goal posts into the next stadium.

Does it bother you when a warlock tanks the demon during the Leo fight?

Just so long as the Warlock is very careful about terminology it’s fine.

The proper way a Warlock should perform the Leo fight is to first carefully explain to the raid that they are not a Tank but rather they’re a Warlock temporarily performing the duties of a Tank for a given fight. Once the Warlock has correctly identified their task to the raid they can then proceed safe in the knowledge that none of the real Tanks will be offended.

My action of deferring to you betrays my words that I am deferring to you?

I disagree. Shamans can tank, but they can’t tank well, let along well “enough”.

Fasc keeps on mentioning EH, an acronym which stands for “Effective Health.” The long and short of EH is that it’s a measurement of how long a tank will last without heals. Avoidance is important, but it’s not as reliable as EH which is why every tank guide out there recommends stacking Stamina gems.

The main problem with Shaman gear is that none of it lends itself to significant amounts of EH (Effective Health). Through Talents, an Enh Shaman can achieve +5% Dodge, +10% Armor, and +5% Block. All very helpful. But Enh has no talents that give Stamina.

Warriors, Paladins, and Druids all have talents deep in their respective tanking spec trees that increase their Stamina percentages. Druids have Heart of the Wild. Warriors have Vitality. Paladins have Sacred Duty. Paladins’ Ardent Defender also artificially increases the Paladin’s Stamina due the fact that you’re taking 30% less damage when brought below 35% of your health.

Shamans don’t have any talents that increase their Stamina, which means they’re hurting for EH. EH which is, again, the most important stat a tank has.

EH is why Warlocks are able to tank some bosses like Leotheras and Illidan. Later phases, Warlocks can achieve ridiculous amounts of Stamina through T5 and T6 pieces combined with Master Demonologist and Demonic Embrace in addition to artificially increasing that health even more with Soul Link.

No, your words that you are not an expert at trolling, because you’re doing beautifully.

I think I responded to this comment earlier. You said this:

Which you’re basically repeating now. And I responded with:

So welcome back to that response? :man_shrugging:

Tier 5 stuff makes you big!

I think I had 18k health when I tanked Leo back in original tbc, with max fire resist and soul link. I remember testing it out with my GM who was a fire mage and just let him wail on me for for like 20 minutes in a duel lol.

This guy never wonders where all the speedrun strats and meta comps and tricks comes from I guess.

Comes from some folks going “I wonder if you can
”

That’s actually the problem with classic. It’s all old done content. None of us are pioneers and we’re deriving second hand “glory” from our kills. I lol a lot when I see people acting all superior over strats that have been bedded down for over a decade.

It’s populated by people who are either into nostalgia (like me) or like to paly it safe and do familiar stuff.

I like fun.

That’s not true though. Classic wow did strats that people didn’t do on private servers, mostly because of that continuing “I wonder if you can
”

Speedruns continued to get smaller and smaller in classic because of that constant need to improve, and test,.
