Totally rad video dude!
I know that our dps Warriors wear shields when tanking her so she’s a push over!
I bet you could tank the fearbomb add on KT too.

So whats the next boss on your list to tank?
I kind of do agree on this point with you Fasc. If someone is mostly kiting and not taking the damage are they really tanking? ehhhh… I would like to get your thoughts on the H. SSH vid above even though its a bit old. I do appreciate your analysis!
I’ve never said that Kiting is tanking…
Good question! adds for Vash when I get there. Hydross once I get my NR set in order and maybe once I get a few more pieces see if I can try Lurker.
Ooooh the Hydross one would be a good one if you can pull it off.
Lurker as well.
Push to get some of those KT adds too! I know you could tank those.
900 posts between bonecringe and his alt keep talking to himself
On Retail, tanks kite very often and sometimes most of the time in M+.
They’re tanks. They are literally tanks, defined by the game as “tanks”. With a proper role, defined by the game, as “Tank”. With a proper spec, for tanking.
Looking forward to this thread going 1000 comments like every other shaman tank thread.
If you have some of the toxic people ignored it shortens it up. Right above your comment it says I have 3 Hidden which I assume is a troll.
with 900 of them being boneboring bullying people and crying because people calling him out, then also talking between him and his alt.
Now he keep saying he put me on ignore, but he keep reading my posts. Like this one, because he is a little crybaby.
You’re doing a heavy amount of CC so difficulty to judge how much Tanking you can actually pull off when more than half of a pack is CC’d or being kited. Trash being slowable forever kind of makes Tanks superfluous in most 5mans until you get to a boss so I’m not really going to parse what the exact threshold for each pull is “supposed” to be. The standard Tanks are all capable of just straight tank’n’spank AoE, but without sufficient gear that’s a taller order to survive in Heroics, and it differs wildly from pack to pack. The caster naga groups just before the first boss in Steam Vaults give me more of a headache than an entirely unCC’d pack of orcs in Shattered Halls, probably because the CC and magic damage is just rather ridiculous if left unchecked… but if they’re just a sheep they’re not just mitigated, they’re outright removed from the equation.
Long story short, not going to stress over trash. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t enjoy double Warlock and Frost Mage 5mans where I mostly use Bash, Feral Charge, and Growl to keep anything from running out of the stack.
Regarding bosses:
I don’t have anything negative on this to be honest, well done.
Something I’d be keen to see you do, for the sheer fun of seeing your health spike up and down, is something like Rokmar in H:SP or Warp Splinter in H:Bot. Knocking out Heroic bosses is fun regardless, but doing Grandmaster Vorpil just doesn’t have the same Tank challenge as Aeonus, if you understand my meaning.
Wow! thanks for the awesome analysis Fasc! I totally agree with your points. Definitely threat these days is one of my main challenges.
Haha! I like to see my health spike up and down too (my healers do not, for some weird reason ) I’ll see if I can record one of those this week. Heroics are definitely fun
Have you ever toyed around with the Embrace of the Twisting Nether chestplate?
That’s the chest piece that I currently have
Weird question, if you had two of them do they have a shared cooldown?
Or could you swap them when ones on CD?
Hmm no idea about that. I don’t know if I could get my guild to give me two vortexes for an additional one
ROFL I guess that’s probably the hardest part.
Probably don’t wanna gamble 2 either just incase they do share.
Are these two the same person bumping the thread in a 1:1 conversation?
