Any shaman tanks raiding? Curious if people are playing Shaman tanks at all this round of classic.
It works in some raids against some bosses but the lack of an actual taunt makes some bosses impossible. Great for 5 man’s though.
Uh No. U have no taunt and horrible threat. I’m sure u could possibly tank a couple bosses, but u would be handicapping ur DPS.
Threat is probably better than you might think. Rockbiter weapon and earth shock both cause increased threat.
But yeah it’s obviously not going to be a meta level tank. It’s for memes.

A fully world buffed warrior won’t be able to spam heroic strike with a warrior tank unfortunately. They will def rip aggro.
Shamans have higher threat gen than any other tanks in classic, but the lowest mitigation and aoe threat, and obviously no taunt.
Between rock biter and earth shock, nobody’s beating that threat gen.
In 2019 release a shaman tanked every raid up to AQ. Had to use engineering for threat though.
If u wanna meme over threat. Then lock beats them With searing pain spam. But GL tanking sartura with a shaman. You guys are welcome to have fun with ur shammy tank stuff, but I would never join a guild where I’m relying on shammy tank on even a fight like broodlord. Not worth losing my world buffs because my tank wants to do a silly off meta thing. Id rather have a bear or warrior.
Saying this as a healer, you need taunt or you can’t tank. I’ll end up bear tanking for you.
