OK 1st off I will give you props for your effort and I will give you prosper your optimism I could see dungeons maybe even Heroics and I’ll even give you 10 man rating but anything above that this just isn’t viable.

You have to be so specific your group composition has to be specific your professions have to be specific that’s so that’s so much to do a niche thing when
Paladen Warrior Or duid just does the job better.

I mean all I gotta say is I don’t ever see you being able to tank BT or higle or even SSC or mag as a Shaman they just don’t have the itemization necessary or the survivability.

Still though it’s a fun thing but I wouldn’t try this outside of a Guild environment.

But if you want to do this shaman tank thing If I can’t see you be able to pull it off in any other way.

I mean as I said could you pull it off in heroics and what not sure maybe even in 10 man ratings but ssc tk bt and Especially sunwell no way.

It’s a cool thing don’t get me wrong It’s kind of like protection palatin’s in classic the itemization just isn’t there to support it.

Honestly who cares. If 24 other people are willing to carry a shaman LARPing as a tank then that’s on them. Guide should be re-titled How to LARP as a tank at other people’s expense though.

The reality is the other tanks especially with the updated talent tree Are just way better suited and survivability I mean why would you ever take a shaman when you can have a Druid a paladin A death night or a Warrior?

I’m sorry bro but It’s like Saying a Warrior can heal because they’ve got 1st aid it just doesn’t work.

I need to know much more about a fight, proper gear, etc compared to conventional tanks, for them success comes more easily/naturally, or dare I say… they need less thought to be successful.

There’s a running whimsical notion in the Warden community that you need to drink coffee constantly to keep up an optimal raid rotation.
