Shaman Stormbringer Question

Enhancement Shaman’s Mastery has Stormbringer, which says “Your special attacks have a chance to reset the remaining cooldown on Stormstrike.”

What qualifies as a special attack?

My guess is probably only melee non-auto attacks, right? Spells like Lava Burst and Flame Shock would not? Is that correct?

(I know this would go better in the Shaman forum but I cannot post there right now.)

A special attack is any spell or ability that does direct damage from you. It will not count normal weapon (white) damage. I don’t believe it will count DoT damage either, as it’s not a direct attack but a lingering effect, but someone can correct me if I’m wrong there.

Oh, spells too? I did not expect that on a melee dps class.
