Shaman > paladin in every way

we cant purge the magic effect bc paladins dont have purge.
Yeah they need a way to get out of snares/roots but it should be an ability with maybe a short cooldown like frost nova, not blanket immunity

Ill play shaman not even as enhance, ill go Elemental and sit in a bush at BS oneshotting everyone with Lavaburst

Resto sham isnt crap at pvp healing when you can maelstrom weapon an instant cast heal every few seconds and paladins are doing what holyshock on a 30 second cd? Divine storm? Seal of light? lol

This current iteration of shaman may very well be the most broken class in the history of the game. It just has zero weaknesses.

You have been given more than you ever had in the history of paladins in classic.

You should be thankful and stop begging to be like a shaman.

No. Windfury should be for Shamans only.

If they want to add Windfury-like abilities to certain classes. Sure. But those abilities should be thematic in nature.

Paladin:
Crusader

  • While an Aura is active
  • Chance for allies to deal a extra attack that does % of their weapon damage as Holy damage.
  • Does not stack with other Windfury-like abilities.

Honestly, they could do this for each class…Druids (Feral) grant allies the chance to increase their crit chance for a few seconds. Mages have a chance to grant an ‘Arcane Infusion’, which causes all casters within 40yrds to gain additional +Healing and +Damage for a few seconds. Warlocks…chance to ‘curse’ allies empowering them to do more damage at the expense of doing less damage after the effect fades; balance it so you definitely don’t mind that ‘weakened state’.
…ya now…some RPG in this MMORPG.

you do realize resto sham isnt meleeing anyone to proc malestrom weapon and would need to run wf weapon to get a proc rate that would matter anyways right?

btw pallies do very very good damage to the point of globaling people in pvp.

every 5 mins you can dive in the enemy backline and nuke the heals and most times make it out alive right?

cant tell you how many times weve lost blacksmith in the initial scrum due to 2+ pallies running in and bubbling and stunning and killing 1 or 2 healers and throwing off the whole balance of the fight .

Nah its Enhance that are doing the heals that are better than the resto and the holy paladins.

Also to your comment about paladins having great Burst, I agree all the burst needs to be toned down but the math is more in favor of the shamans.

Edit: to the above poster, Instant self healing is strong. Instant self healing that can happen every few seconds is busted. And Instant self healing not on an Instant Coefficient spell power multiplier but on a casted 1.5 or longer modifier is very busted.

You have a totem to get you out of CC, A totem to shut down the 3 minute mage, A totem to get rogue poisons off, A totem for mana. A totem to snare a pack.

Individually none of these are that strong. But when you can instantly slap down 4 where ever you want them then thats busted as melee has to tab around to kill them all and nobody using a 2hnd does that. And I think a rogue would lose combot points doing that as well. A fury warrior aint bringing down no insta cast lava burst ele mastery earthshock shaman in tank runes, prob not even in a 2v1.

Paladins have to get in range to do their burst damage and it relies on SoC+Crit+Exorcism which can happen but most paladins are south of 20% crit right now and SoC is 6-7 PPM rn so if your using Therma’s Rocket Cleaver, then your getting 18/19 swings in per minute with that timer, which is 30-35% proc chance.

So a crit on both SoC and Melee is 0.2x0.2= 0.04% chance per swing. Im at 400 damage top end with my full str gear and raid buffs on the rocket cleaver, so two crits (one is white so mitigated) 400x2=800 assuming 35% damage reduction from shield shaman + mail armor, add in 10% for way of earth rune, (which also reduces chance to be crit by 6% so the paladins crit chance for this wombo combo is actually lower than 0.04) for a 45% reduction in damage.
800-360(45%) = 440 + Seal of command damage which is 70% of weapon damage and that being a crit in this case brings us to 800-240=560 but there is an additional 10% reduction from way of earth. Bringing it to 560-56=514

So 514+440= 954+300 damage from the exorcism (not a gauranteed crit) brings us to 1.2k or 1.3k if we get really lucky on a top end raider’s dps set.

But the thing here is unless the paladin is getting a blind jump and the sham was afk or the paladin jumped a small cliff to take no damage and get on the shaman, the shaman will see him coming, have dropped his earthbind totem at the paladin who might still be many yards out of melee range. Drop a flame shock and a lava burst for the same damage.

Except the lava burst damage is gauranteed and doesnt require a raider’s dps gear(which might be glassy) and a 0.04% chance to get a Seal of command proc and double crit. Which now that I think about could be even lower than 0.04% since you need a 30-35% chance to get the command to proc in the first place using the epic gnomer axe.

But we’ll take the command proc as a given

Also “Ele was easy to shut down against people with more than three braincells”, unless your talking about a rogue, your talking about people, not person, people, so it took multiple people 2-3+ to shut down a single player.

That is balanced. That is tactics

gotta say im not reading all that as i have a headache.

i will say before i go to bed that the heal may be instant but the procs are random and it may take longer to get off an instant heal that to cast 2 or so regular heals.

btw youve posted the same thing like 2 or more times and are still wrong.

ele is very easy to shut down by most classes with a kick and all melee have one.

warlocks that arent meta have fear or seduce which is better cause the succy is invis beforehand . other classes have ways to counter it and before you say it grounding totem has a cooldown. 1 wand tick gets it down and then you can cc the ele.

also the game isnt even balanced 1v1 and is balanced for group play.

a hard casting ele isnt getting a cast off with a group that has half a brain.

If chaos bolt crits for 5k why arent shamans qqing about that?

yeah thats why an ele isnt on the front lines, even with 20 yd range theres lots to hide behind and plenty of aggro orcs who will charge the front lines

8 holy paladins out of 100, so if there were 10 healer specs in the top 100 they’d still be the minority

well only one thing procs off my fire spells and that’s impact which is a stun and it says immune. maybe they messed up the coding. i seen it clear as day earlier when the shaman wasnt near and i cast scorch so that had to be impact proc. no snare in fire.

I have played an enhancement shaman many times and they were always strong in classic with Wind fury. I never played them with the broken decoy totem, and I stand by it they shouldn’t have it. they have too many snares to have blessing of freedom. yes, you suppose to stay snared it’s the whole point of the player’s spell. how about we take your snares away because people don’t like being snared. no more frost shock or earth-bound totem then you can keep your decoy. hey why we are at it since I don’t like being snared either can u take hamstring wing clip poisons and so on from other classes too. Pallies have freedom because they have no snares and it was always considered pretty powerful.

Your a mage you should never lose to shaman. Enh in classic is legit “I’m trying to get to a target and can never seem to make it.” You literally need to fap just to be viable. Frost shock is a 20 yard range and earthbind is melee range that pulses and can be killed. You have frost bite that can proc all the time and doesn’t dr. You can literally blanket silence a sham and poly them and there isn’t anything they can do about it.

Enh was never strong in vanilla it was a meme spec that could one shot squishy targets that didn’t play their class well if they got good rng and had good gear. “Too many snares” its 2 snares and one of them shares cd with your only interrupt. How does earthbind help me catch a mage that is 30 yards away from me?

And paladins have a stun, rep, bubble, and a dispell… They can already dispell roots and snares with cleanse so why do they need freedom with your logic?

Enh has 0 cc and 0 ways to stop their enemies and had 0 ways out of snares. They have needed decoy totem forever. You have no idea what your talking about. EVEN with decoy totem they still get kited and die lmao I never lose to enh on my hunter.

Think he meant it cannot be dispelled in general but it is a magic effect so that is not true.

You think blanket immunity is too op then give enh a gap closer or some form of cc so they can get to a ranged target. Even with decoy they are still losing to classes that can kite them.

And no you won’t because of some boaring hp buff everyone gets in BGs. You will crit people to 10-20% hp and they will run away and get healed.
