Ok, so, I’m FINALLY doing my order hall quests but I have a question about the mount. I love the fire element one…but I main resto spec…is there a way I could swap to elemental, get the fire form of the mount and just keep it or does the mount change forms depending on the shaman spec at the time?

The mount changes by spec, so sadly, no.

Yeah, unfortunately the class mounts are pretty inconsistent. Some of them get one mount that swaps appearance per spec, some get one mount period, some get 3-4 that they can freely choose. It’s rather annoying.
I mean, that’s both good…and bad but still a let down

We hunters get one too /sigh but we do get a special book to tame pets that look just like our mount.

Nope! You have (at least) three that you can freely swap between.
They’re available in your class hall somewhere, if memory serves.

I think it sucks. The disparity across all of the class mounts is mind boggling, honestly. Some classes can choose between colors, some classes are by spec, and then druids didn’t even get a mount, they got a glyph. I swear they gave the class mount projects to different trade school groups as a final exam and didn’t even care what they came up with.

This is pretty dumb. My Warlock and Paladin get to choose which mount to use, but my DK and Shaman both get stuck to tints based on spec.
I don’t see why they don’t just unlock them all for every spec once they’ve been acquired.
They’re already taken this liberty with the Artifact appearances, why not the mounts as well?

My bad, yeah we get two extra. One for surv and another for mark. BM allows us to buy the taming thingy. My hunter was my last alt lvled in legion so I never got the resources to buy more after buying the book. And I had totally forgotten haha.
