ok thats not mutually exclusive, i know why they gave shamans rage. that doesn’t discount that it’s way too broken. needs to be a 2 minute CD

Easily killed. Doesnt not counter paladins. Doesnt counter Balance druids. Why are the top Premades all 5 Balance druids, 5 ret paladins, and they rolling shaman groups hard?

You took the words out of my mouth.
You people need to start separating specs in these whiner post, man is it getting old.
- Wolves are what carry Enhancement, they are quite strong in Elementals hands.
- Without Sham Rage both specs suck an incredible amount of mana down, literally making our class unplayable within 15-20 seconds.
- That requires Storm Earth and Fire which means they can’t have Wolves.
- We have two defensives technically, 1 is Decoy which is a 10 CD that absorbs 1 melee attack and gives us freedom, and Shamanistic Rage on a 1 minute CD, that reduces damage by a staggering 20%.

- Storm Earth and Fire again?
- Ret has always been notoriously weak against Elemental, SOD actually reduced that weakness pretty substantially imo.
- You’d have to be dense as a stump not to admit Paladin burst is extremely good currently. Not saying it’s the best, but it sure hurts when your in a 6 second stun.

Orc stun resist at 25% is too broken I agree but you act like paladins aren’t also disgusting. Not to mention the common boomkin/hunter problem we have right now. I’d much rather deal with a shaman in a bg than a boomkin, hunter or paladin. At least the shaman has nerfed heals now and can’t 1 shot me while fully invuln.

I have had a Shaman and a Warrior for all of SoD
I didn’t play much at the level 40 bracket, but played the others pretty thoroughly at max level w/ raid gear
Warriors were significantly better at level 25 and are currently better at level 60
Shamans were ASTRONOMICALLY BETTER at level 50 (this is when Shamans were truly overpowered)
People calling Shaman overpowered are living in the past

It has been that way since 2004. At least in SoD, paladins can have a good Reckoning build that can wreck many shams. And can also have the Shockadin build which is almost as good. Both of those are far less viable in regular level 60 version of this game. So Pallies win vs Shams sometimes now in SoD. In regular level 60 it is much closer to 0% of the time in which they win.
Certain specs counter shamans a lot as well so it is what it is. Still got peeps like you alt posting on low level alts. Shammy AoE has massive DR though. hitting by 30-33% less per jump on average except for the rare cases in which one of your jumps crit but the main one does not have high numbers.
I got a dwarf warrior in SoD. And this mage. And a pally on all but one realm. I have a shaman on that realm. Druids give me more trouble than shamans do in SoD right now.
Ele was top for BG PvP in original level 60 WoW anyhow.
Shaman are no longer the power houses they were in previous phases, when Enhanced literally melted people in 1-2 globals. But Ele is still A tier and needs to be respected.

They were never S+ tier. No one who actually PvPs a lot has ever said they were the best of the best. They were S tier at top and then dropped to A tier for most of SoD with many now putting them in B tier as they have been beaten back to back by other classes now.

You must have never seen phase 2-3 enhance shaman, litterally melting people in 1-2 globals. That is definitley S+ tier. Today they are still A tier only losing to boomkin and close after hunters.

Anyone found stacking paladins doesn’t exist.
Enh in p3 was weaker than ele. If you got murdered in p3 by a sham, there’s 95% chance it was an ele.
After enh could no longer run rockbiter x2, it fell off a cliff and has been bad since.
