Shaman in Cloth Gear

What plate gear from dungeons are paladins wearing to heal?

are you going to tell me you won’t use white bandit mask cos it’s cloth?

Oh I get your point. Still seems kind of unfair for the mages and priests in groups where Shaman are rolling need on the only type of armor they can use.

Absolutely… You obviously know nothing about Ele Shamans… Best burst in the game.

Now yea, mages are competitive, the difference isn’t large enough at all… it would depend on the player.

Ele shaman can instant cast a chain lightning… or auto-crit it. on half the packs in a dungeon.

There are plenty of options! Plate of the Boar/Eagle/Gorilla/Whale! XD

Sucks to be a mage/priest/warlock sometimes… should take that into account when you roll your class… they only can wear cloth armor.

uhh , it’s a head piece

you want to give it another go?

My bad. And you got me on that one. However, what cloth wearer would wear that?

I’ll never take that into accound because I’m in there right with you healing you. They have staves, and I can’t use staves. So there is that and I’ll be just as jealous of that too.

See this is one of the millions of reasons why the game progressed the way it did in the future, because of debates like this. Just food for thought.

now do you understand?

Isnt everything hunter gear?

I just went through lootatlas from WC to BRD, you are practically inferring shamans/druids/Paladin’s should depend on greens only and only get weapon upgrades in dungeons. there is VERY little designed for shamans/druids/paladin healers until cap that fits their highest armor value.

I get your point. I still think that it would be in good form for Shamans not to roll need on a cloth piece when there is a mage, priest, or Warlock in the group who could use the armor.

As a Paladin healing I have a cloth set of gear with int and +healing on it. Someone got really pissed with me for wanting a pair of cloth gloves that were a huge upgrade for my healing, even when I explained why I needed them as well before rolling on it. I didn’t even up winning, but the salt was real.

I’m currently leveling as an ENH Shaman with a separate healing set for dungeons. I roll need based on my role in the party. So if I’m the healer (usually the case), I’ll roll need on int gear (assuming it’s an upgrade) and greed on everything else. If I’m DPS, I’ll roll need on str/agi gear and greed on everything else. No complaints yet.

This thread is bizarre to me because it assumes you absolutely must be rolling on cloth gear in order to heal leveling dungeons. You don’t. You can be wearing enhance agi gear with a caster staff and still heal.
The thing about healing dungeons is you don’t wanna be on the low end, like you don’t wanna heal SFK at 21 or 22, you wanna go in at 24. You want to go above the minimum so your heals are leveled to the dungeon, which means actually ranking up heals.

My gear is mostly sp/agi and I’m having no trouble healing at all.

Also if you don’t know about down ranking, you will just go oom.

strip yourself of this mentality about armour restrictions that exists in retail. an upgrade is an upgrade.

not as effectively with a smaller mana pool, drinking more often, holding up the group, etc.

and if you had a healing set, you could have gotten in dungeons at an earlier level because you have the gear for it. i was able to heal dungeons efficiently in a timely manner while being lower than everyone because i had the gear for it.

Imagine anyone listening or taking advice from this lock…/shudder

Hybrids weren’t designed to min max healing specs pre raid.

Sadly there isnt a better option for the pally/ shaman and the best item for that slot is cloth.

You think I wouldn’t rather a plate piece, they just didn’t make them with the same stats or even stats that are close to being as good.
