Mote of Seismic Rage drop rate is insanely low. I spent like 8-10 hours and still no drop. Please nerf this freaking quest!!!
You must have been doing something wrong.
You were killing the wrong mobs, or you were in a raid group, or the item was stashed in your bank…
Im not sure I do remember in P1 this quest having an ABYSMAL drop rate as well as spawn rate for the zone. The mobs are hyper rare and the drops are even more rare. It was the most complained shaman rune of P1 in terms of difficulty to get.
Yeah, mine was the same. Earth elementals in the Charred Vale.
There’s only a few, they share a respawn with other mobs I think, and as OP mentioned the drop rate sucks.
Be thankful you weren’t doing it at-level, getting mobbed by harpies and chimeras at the same time.
Shamans did have tedious quests for some of their runes in Phases one though three. Earth Shield, Maelstrom Weapon, and Fire Nova come to mind.
Phase four seems to have been the apology letter with how simple the cape runes were to acquire. The most difficult one was the Searing gorge rune with the time limit, and it was not a challenge.
He is not doing anything wrong. he is totally correct. There is only three spawns, that are 20 minute spawn timers with a very low chance to drop what you are locking for. It took me 4+ hours with layer hopping in order to complete. If anyone else is doing the quest good luck. Runes are one of the top reason for me I did not roll an alt, I have no desire to deal with unfun; 4 point travel across the world rune quests.
At 50 on alts if you have a character at 60, all pre -phase 4 runes should be purchasable. Also .5 tier should be unlocked on the account and not character.
