Shaman Buff 1/24/23

Is it me or were the resto Shaman buffs that actually fixed Shamans from Tuesday, Jan 24 removed as of this morning Jan 28 with hotfixes? Something feels way way different from the rest of the week. The buffs indicated below in my opinion seem to be gone. I cant find anything official but somehow my dps and heals were way way off from the rest of the week. Glitch perhaps or intentional, anyone know anything? I heard other classes were also having issues with spells and dps after update.

  • SHAMAN
    • Class
      • Mana Spring Totem has been renamed to Mana Spring and is now a passive effect.
      • Mana Spring now restores 400 Mana at level 70 (was 200).
      • Healing Surge healing increased by 15%.
      • Totemic Surge reduces the cooldown of Totems by 3 seconds/6 seconds (was 2 seconds/4 seconds).
    • Elemental
      • Flame Shock damage increased by 10%.
      • Chain Lightning damage increased by 10%.
      • Lava Beam damage increased by 10%.
      • Earthquake damage increased by 10%.
    • Restoration
      • Healing Tide Totem healing now increased by 100% while not in a raid.
      • Healing Wave healing increased by 6%.
      • Acid Rain damage increased by 120%.
      • Flame Shock damage increased by 20%.
      • Lava Burst damage increased by 20%.
      • Master of the Elements increases the effectiveness of the Shaman’s next Nature, Physical, or Frost spell by 20% (was 10%).
    • Developers’ note: These changes for both Elemental and Restoration are aimed at improving their capabilities in dungeon content. We feel Restoration is lacking in reactive healing as well as damage contribution, so we’re increasing single target heals and a few damage abilities and talents. We’re also increasing the effectiveness of Master of the Elements, which is intended to encourage weaving in damage spells while healing.

Dunno, if i look at master of the elements in the talent tree, it shows 20% not 10%. Seems like they’re still there

Only way to know for sure is to check the combat logs and crunch the numbers.

Link to these hot fixes?

Yea I know there officially there like on tooltips but right after the Jan 28 hotfix update something feels way off from the night before… The spells just arent healing or dpsing like they were…

Yea I think its time to do some number crunching because I have a strong feeling something is wrong.

I didn’t even notice mana totem changed to aura… Is it that way in game?

Yes it is now just an aura on Live.

Tooltips often lag behind the hotfixes, usually will see them catch up with the next reset or a full patch.

Not saying you’re wrong, but you feel a noticeable difference with 6% more to healing wave?

To be honest, on healing wave no… i finally crunched some numbers with damage meter and im noticing the dps buff over the last 2 updates… healing not so much. You still need modifiers like talents, ever rising tide and/or healing stream with the 2 set bonus from class set to actually heal decently. Its better but i still think theres more to be done.

Above quote is from me on an alt.

Mana Spring has been re-nerfed:

  • Mana Spring now restores 200 mana when triggered at level 70 (was 400).
    • Developers’ note: With its changes in 10.0.5, the mana restored by Mana Spring is outperforming similar effects, so its value is being brought down in line with our intent.

Lol 400 wasnt even good or worth taking. And they’re like 400 was too much lets return to 200 and make it useless again. Not even 300
