- Instant cast spells that make even pre-nerf starsurge jealous
- Physical dps higher than pre-nerf raptor strike lone wolf survival hunters
- The highest amount of utility abilities in the game
When can we expect some balancing changes here? Shaman are incredibly over powered at the moment in both pve and pve. Way of the Earth, Rockbiter, and Lava Burst seem to be the primary culprits and should all have reduced effectiveness or conditions added to make them less oppressive.

If the tanking rune caused the shaman to do 20-30% less damage and upped their threat by something that allows them to tank I think a lot would be solved. Right now its too easy for any of the DPS specs to throw on the tanking rune, get its benefits and still do massive damage.
PS - Do the same to Meta.

Nah the real problem is the double rockbiter. WoE should be enabled when you have a shield equipped, not when you have rockbiter on the main hand. This will also lead to interesting tanking builds using other weapon imbues for tanking.

I Find it funny how most of you guys are alliance and are wanting balance changes. It doesn’t change anything for you.
Is shaman tank OP - When Dual Wield tanking all bosses except 5th boss with double rockbiter + 20% AP, yes the damage they get from it is insane.
However, If we’re to simply use molten blast and shield, Our damage output is very bad WITH mana issues.
As for DPS enhancement The spirit of the alpha change was put in due to our 2 wep imbues we’d use were WF(mh) and FT(oh) as atleast first few weeks, using rockbiter was just too much threat. so damage was hindered.
A balance change I’d agree with would be either nerfing the 20%ap to 10-15% OR Lock rockbiter to only 1 weapon because if you nerf DW shaman tank its gonna gut the spec

WoE should not be usable for resto/elemental in pvp either. Just requiring a shield is not enough.
Idk this would lead to WoE Windfury tanks in pvp with insane msw procs for instant heals and big lava bursts. This is not a good fix.

Make Rockbiter unique applied, decouple WoE from Rockbiter, problem solved.
Honestly I think that more than this, warriors just need a big survivability buff.
Way of the earth gives more mitigation than the entire warrior protection talent tree. It should not be usable by shaman in all specs without large downsides. It is intended for tanking. It should only be viable for tanking. Right now it is extremely overpowered in PvP.

Make Earth Shield not dog and ele/resto will actually use it. I’m talking either double the healing it does right now, or half the ICD so it heals twice as often. It’s unusably bad in PVP.

No it’s the best idea. I play a shaman, I know how strong they are, and I know what the proper way to rein them in without gutting the class is. You don’t know what you’re talking about at all.
Way of the Earth should not be usable in PvP without a big damage and healing done reduction. Elemental, Restoration, and Enhancement should not have 30% hp, 10% damage reduction, and 6% crit reduction while dealing full damange / healing.
