Really just jumping in this forum for the first time, wondering if shaman is worth playing right now and which spec is the most fun, solo play here, searching for an alt and potentialy a main. Hesitating between shaman or druid as i like damages and heals
They are both very fun in that they both have a lot of out of combat utility.
Shaman is my favorite class in the game, and right now theyre actually in a stronger state than I can ever remember them being in, and that’s despite a 3% ability wide nerf enhance just took.

I’m having a lot of fun with shaman. I’m not a big time raider or pushing keys or anything but I think the class itself is just fun to play.
I think it’s fun even if you do those things. As long as you’re not obsessed about playing a “meta” class that has to be the absolute best at everything.

I find shammy fun. DF, Classic, WoTLK Classic. They are good all around. They change so much though.
I am a filthy casual so I can’t speak to shaman in raids or high end game content but I find enhancement a lot of fun so far. I haven’t tried the other specs yet, planning on having a go with resto once I get some gear for it.

Shaman will always be fun for PvE. PvP your mileage may vary.

in BGs yes, in arenas no
Yep, zero fun or chance in arena. BGs… that’s your fun. It showcases our utility better. More control of the battle field imo. Knock backs, stuns, slows, roots, hex… all help contribute to victories when done right.

I’m having a ton of fun with enhancement. Doing raid and mythics I’m constantly in the top 3 for damage with every group I join. I like some of the utility the kit has for raid, pretty flexible. Lots of mobility dependent on the talents you take.
From a PVE standpoint I’m loving it.
PVP, not as good lol. With melee overtuned and shamans having little defensive or stun options, I find myself dying before I even get an ability off in half the arenas I join. But I’m not huge into arenas anyways so it doesn’t bother me so much. BG’s i tend to be up at the top still. Glad its strong in PVE atm.
I’m having a ton of fun as resto shaman. These forums make it seem like you’ve got to have a disease to want to touch the class, but meh. I love the shaman theme, love how our abilities look and i love the utility.

Awesome thanks for feedbacks. Ive started with this alliance evoker as main, and enjoy alot pvp healing, but my daughter wanted to start an evoker horde, so i will definetly take back my orc shaman to have some fun with her questing
They’re a lot of fun but a lot of their kits are just outdated design at this point when you look at the newer classes that have launched. Defensive offensive and such. Fun tho!

Enhance is so much fun we’re just sitting here praying everyday we don’t get the nerf bat… again.
Shaman is my favorite class for sure. Enhance is a ton of fun with a pretty steep learning curve compared to other classes. You can’t just 2 button smash, always something to press.
Arenas are awful right now, and we keep getting our nukes nerfed so that feels bad. PvE is fine though!

I am really not doing anything challenging content wise. However I am having a blast.
I have done zero arena. Group content PVP has been a blast. Consistently top dmg with top killing blows.
Low level M+ have been fun as well. Even though the lightning build has fell off since my haste is WAY to low in my PVE set. The fire build is doing well enough to complete m+7s that I plan to gradually increase.
Really just enjoying the game, especially since pushing rating or keys has almost zero benefit now.

I love my Ele Shaman! Like a lot of others have said, I’m not trying to top the charts but I am having fun with questing and dungeons and will be doing my first LFR soon at the reset!

I have fun in pve as long as I’m ele. I love playing resto, but it’s such a chore to play right now I’ve benched her resto spec lol
