Forgive me but I have zero knowledge on what buffs paladins have or have not received to help the alliance get some better mana management utility from their faction unique class.
However, a very quick fix in the meantime (and I won’t lie it will severely help myself and mages alike) could be for a new future rune for mages Evocate spell to reduce CD by 90% and to give an aura for (X)%mana to allies in a 40yd range.
I raided about 4 or 3 weeks ago with a ret paladin that did some ability which all the mages/priests were super happy with the mana and recently (maybe 2 weeks ago last time i raided) the ret paladin couldnt keep up giving mana for some reason, they said it was nerf’d.
As a hunter, i just went viper and stayed viper the whole time as i was running out of mana every few seconds when i wasnt in viper. I think alliance side just suffers from a huge mana nerf drain probably to make up for all the bonus extra free mana shaman generate.
We already have unlimited mana with paladins. Honestly they need to nerf mana Regen not buff it.
eh? so they fixed it?? again it was a while ago when i raided but the paladin we had said he was running whatever was needed to make mana regen and everyone was slamming mana pots just to do anything and i had to be 100% in viper as all my shots drained my mana bar so fast
I must not be using SoM right because mana regen is almost neglible since PVP aura testing.
Y’all do know that Shamanistic Rage is based on the casters mana pool % right? So the majority of shaman are enhance with lower mana pools that don’t return much mana for raid. There are very few elemental and resto shaman in comparison for raid wide mana return.
The nref was a side effect of the pvp player damage nerf. Since the mana return is based on the self damage the paladin does, and that was being reduced because it is “player damage to a player”
im pretty sure aggrend confirmed that this interaction was fixed on twitter
Get the Seal of Martyrdom rune and judge Seal of Wisdom (or have another Paladin do it so you can judge Crusader) and use Crusader Strike every 30 seconds.
Blizzard in their infinite wisdom from playing their own game made Martyrdom’s mana return function based off how much damage the Paladin does to himself—well, they implemented the PvP damage reduction aura that reduced the Paladin’s damage done to himself (from a player to a player) so it double dipped and reduced the mana regen by more than half.
It has been fixed as far as I know, since Blizzard said they were aware and changed it a few weeks ago.
