So I’ve finally decided to make a KT but should I make a hunter marks or shaman ele? How are both looking currently?
Depends if you wanna do pretty easy dps hunter.
Shamans are terribly complicated either, however you can heal. Personally I would pick a shaman of the two, I don’t like pet classes.
Both are an entirely different play style, i would suggest trying them out and seeing what you would like best.

Both of my hunters are beast masters and I am fairly dissatisfied with them, sure I could switch to a more viable spec, but core hound and/or kodo pets.
So I would lean toward Shaman. I am unhappy w/ enhancement, but elemental is pretty decent.
I don’t mind pets as I am a lock but I heard hunter pet ai is pretty broken. Dunno if ele will feel too similar to lock.
My only issue with BM at the moment is Blizzard taking away our ability to change specs on our pets…That is why i switched to MM and went lone wolf. Kind of screws with my Steampunk image if i can’t use mechanical pets on a regular basis.

Shaman for versatility. I’ve cycled through my characters over and over because I’m always like “dang I wish I could melee for this”, and then “fudge I’d like to range now!”. And then I heal for fast queues on a daily heroic or LFR.
Edit: Oh, I guess Hunter can melee nowadays… Eh… Still Shaman!
I think I might give sham a try. I dont like bm and as mm pet is just utility. It is fun using explosive trap plus barrage you get two knock offs. But the pve rotation doesnt feel fun.
Elemental and Resto Shaman are highly viable.
Can’t speak on Hunter because I have not much experience, but one of my two hunter teammates has swapped off of it.
The current dominant build for Shaman, MotE with Icefury and Igneous Potential, is quite a fun playstyle without being overly complex, imo. Their utility’s also pretty great if you’re into that.
If you enjoy dying, go shaman.
How so? I doubt it could die as much as hunter they are free hks
I don’t find shamans considerably squishy, but a chunk of their pve survivability is weighted in Rocky/Earth Ele. Astral Shift is simple but it does its job.
Dont shamans have a ss equivalent?

Im having fun as Elemental. Only died a couple times.
Shammy has pets on a cd. Not full time pets like hunter. They only come out for a min or so for oopsie moments. However the issue I find with sham is ele seems clunky to use and enhance is even worse. The whole maelstrom mechanic needs to go away.
ele is way better then bm hunter but bm hunter is good to with its recent buffs.
if you want easy pugs for m+ ele shaman will be accepted over a bm hunter.im not saying you cant get in to a high m+ pug.
if for some pvp fun bm hunter is good very mobile.i say bm hunter.
survival hunter is very interesting since it is a combo of mele and range (it is mostly mele however). I’d say do a class trial on the two classes and switch between specs, test everything out on the training dummy and decide which you like better.
If you want to Melee, then Hunter. If you want to Heal, then go Shaman.
Idk what SS is but Shaman elementals only have a pet bar if you take Primal Elementalist. Otherwise they’ll attack what you attack more or less.
