I am kinda new to the dagger way of things - So I apologize if my question is kinda obvious.
So - Shadowstrike has a 25 yd range while stealth is active. Fine by me
But is melee while dancing? Shouldn’t dance count as stealth or am I overlooking something? Stealth and Shadowdance use the same stance (stance:1) so should it not be the same?
(Allows use of all Stealth abilities and grants all the combat benefits of Stealth for 6 sec. Effect not broken from taking damage or attacking.)
That is a good question.
It used to have that range teleport component even during Shadow Dance from the early part of the Legion expansion. Originally it was the Cloak and Dagger talent from MoP which allowed ranged teleport ambush while Shadow Dancing.
Ambush was replaced by Shadow Strike in Legion for Sub Rogue. And given its ranged teleport component whether from stealth or shadow dance. But it was proven to be hard to balance due to multiple shadow dances and high uptime so the teleport portion was removed from shadow dance but it still retains that component from stealth.
Imagine you can still teleport shadowstrike vs these damn Frost mage atm.
