TIL that Shadowstrike doesn’t actually do Shadowstrike (magic school physical / shadow) damage. I guess this is no different than Stormstrike, but it is confusing. Why not just call it Ambush then?
The shadow theme of Sub Rogues is so convoluted and doesn’t make sense for how the entire spec is built (eg Dance with Find Weakness).
Partly because Shadowstrike can have a baked in Shadowstep when used from full stealth, which does make it different from Ambush. I assume the damage values are different as well as just to give it better theming.
shadow strike has tricks. you can land a shadowstrike from 15 yards away, without the shadowstep. hence, why its called shadow strike. it can hit from afar… or it can teleport you behind.
when you figure out how to activate the 15 yard shadowstrike, then you have mastered sub. its the sneakiest attack ive ever done.
Oh sh!t. That reminds me of the one time i fought you in a BG back in DF!
I am not much of a PvP’er but i don’t think i am ever going to forget the name of some weird dwarf rogue who solo defended Lumbermill from like 10 horde players (including me) and somehow came out on top.
Jumping off the ledge only to make your way back up by Shadow Stepping/Shadowstriking horde players who jumped after you and then proceeding to killing the 4-5 players who didn’t jump down left me so stunned i was sort of “half-afk” just thinking about it all BG.
Also inspired me to pick up my rogue again. I put down some toy target dummies near a ledge in valdrakken and practised a whole day trying to do that trick but never managed it.
Master Saifu has many, many skills.
Some secret and others very secret.
lol yes this would be one of my tricks. wall climbing hord mid-air to get back to the top.
toys are the key, have to acquire the right toys and then you can pull off lots of crazy combos once you figure out what the toys can do.
blizz made me anduin look like me. hence his appearance change. i am the main lore lol
Every class can double jump if they don’t mind being a little stinky
not exactly the right toy to climb up mountain walls
