how do you other rouges do your focus kicks? and how do you practice them? as they say you practice how you fight so practice well. How do you deal with getting slowed and being out of range of the healer you’re trying to focus too tho? its really soo much cd management. and the real thing is so much faster paced than any practice.

I’ve been practicing focus interrupts. on target dummies in between bgs but in bg’s I have noticed huge improvement in just under 24 hours. by fully working in focus interrupts. You can tell it works when you focus step kick a holy paladin and that dps that struggled to stay up for so long goes down. and it feels really good.

focus blind is easy enough and so is focus kidney usually but the focus shadowstep kick or focus kick is hard for me :frowning:

what did you gaiz do on ur rouge’s when you learned to do effective focus kicks?
any advice that could help out a fellow rouge with rbgs?? (vs. DH, vs. monk, vs. etc.)
also if you have a really good macro you think you need to share pls do!!

ALSO, is there any sort of order you like to use your cc’s? like saving blind especially to go w/ your vanish for sap?? so starting out throwing some focus kidneys to get trinket??

I know someone out there is more knowledgeable than I am and I want to start basically an open discussion about i’d say a pvp cc rotation. and how do you cc in pvp?
try to put urself in the shoes of the first rouge to ever do a focus shadowstep kick, what were they thinking???

My Shadowstep is bound to Q and my Kick is bound to F.

So my focus Step/Kick is Shift-Q and Shift-F. It took me quite awhile to get used to but now I can use it on command.

As for CC, if you are playing Sin you pretty much never want to use Kidney on your cc target unless you are super confident you are going to get a kill.

I personally like to use blind early, and I almost always get a trinket with it. My ideal opener (I play RPS) is:

  1. Sap;
  2. Priest Mind Bombs;
  3. Priest Silences;
  4. Sometime I will smoke bomb so they panic and I will get a DPS trinket or sometimes a healer trinket.
  5. Maybe throw in a Focus Kick.
  6. When Sap Dr is ending I will Blind. If the healer hasn’t trinketed already they will definitely have to here.

Anyway, just some of my thoughts! Hope it helps :slight_smile:

I would think a mouse over macro would be better , atleast fot bgs. Otherwise you are constantly have to set a focus target.

hey I ended up getting a 12 button mouse or whatever and I keybound set focus to mouse numpad 1, blind/focus blind to numpad 2, and focus kick/focus stepkick to numpad 3.
I agree though a mouseover to just simple shadowstep kick would be good I think. I will try to set one of those up on a mouse button. because bg’s really are hectic. thx

only reason im apprehensive to do that is because I don’t trust my mouseovers in crowds xD

I wasn’t aware that you shouldn’t kidney shot cc target regularly. it makes sense tho.
I was doing it because I would see savix using hoj on healers when their dps was super low hp.
its different tho. he was playing with a rouge too, rouge would kidney smokebomb kill target, and he would hoj the healer so they had no chance of running in.
