Hello,
Since the patch went live, shadowstep no longer puts you behind the target if the target is on a higher surface than you. It’ll glitch and put you underneath the target. Could we please get this fixed ASAP? ![]()

i just shadowstepped into a house… while dueling outside in elwynn forrest. it didnt go to the roof… it went INSIDE the house they were on top of. i went thru the wall.
yup its really annoying.
It’s not a glitch. It’s a feature. It’s just as confusing to your opponent.
Another patch, another bugged ability for rogues that wont get fixed quick
life is fun as a rogue huh

Shadow step is still superior than Grapple Hook.

Bumping for visibility.
I just played Warsong Gulch yesterday and tried to shadowstep on the enemy flag carrier that were hiding in the Aliance room on the roof.
You can guess what happened - I ended underneath him inside the building.
How come this game has no real rogue developer that would fix those OBVIOUS ISSUES ???
The best we can do is report it as a bug.

Not the Op Bug but I encountered some problem with targeted step macros.
For example, this macro I had no issue with from wrath until DF / TWW.
/Cast [mod: shift, @focus] Shadowstep
In the more recent client, the started making me Shadowstep my target even though my focus modifier was pressed.
The was to allow me to Shadowstep target if I accidentally modified when I didn’t have a focus, but they changed interactions with that kind of command to include targets being unavailable due to LOS and Range, so if the intended command couldn’t execute it would default to the primary target despite the focus being selected.
If any of your macros have been behaving weird I recommend checking for and other conditions.
GL with finding a way to play rogue without bugs everyone.
Idk why my square brackets with a space between are creating a square might just be my phone formatting.
This bug started in DF and the potential fix is to add “cleartarget” at start and “targetlasttarget” at the end of Macro.
Example:
#showtooltip Shadowstep
/cleartarget
/cast [target=focus, focus] Shadowstep
/cast [target=focus, focus] kick
/targetlasttarget
Bumping for visibility.
I just want one expansion where Rogues aren’t riddled with bugs.
That is the dream.
