Dosen’t Bwonsamdi count as one?
No, not at all.
Who? Saurfang is in the Maw. I would also say most of the afterlives don’t seem to be too happy in Shadowlands (I haven’t seen much yet. Perhaps for Trolls it’s not too bad? Perhaps?).
He was. But Trolls can also become loa (see Zanza).
No. Illidan was their get go for this. Bwonsamdi is something else I would say.
He doesn’t, it was confirmed Bwonsamdi lied.
Freeing them has already been datamined.
Ah ok, good, though is this mostly confirmed or 100%?
Well I’ll believe it when I see it and hasn’t been cut content.
100% confirmed it’s in Shadows Rise. Zekhan sees Saurfang in the Maw. Bwonsamdi lied to him to manipulate him. He wanted Zekhans help.
It was mostly clear in the novel and extra confirmed in an interview with the author.
Ok.
Night elves don’t accept to be pushovers by the story and are still flooding the forums with their whine topics so I don’t see any reason why the forsaken fans should shut up. They have no reason to. Complaining about Calia is their right.
Capacity yes, given the amount of time it takes for one Wild God soul to recover from Wild Seed to Resurrection to Portal, and how all that Anima over many cycles corresponds to untold amount of dead “lesser” beings.
Plus recall: Trolls consider Wisps Loa. And while the Night Elves scoffed at them, Trolls are the only Druids that we have seen actively have a relationship to spirits from the Shadowlands.
This may be how Blizzard explains how wisps exist in-game-reality, they are mortal night elves allowed to go back through the portal, and that the original plethora of wisps that took down Archimonde were all the Night Elves killed during the Sundering.
Aessina could be the First Night Elf allowed to resurrect.
No, nothing at all.
They call whips loa, because they are dead. Every ghost can be called a loa (or even is). That’s something very different.
There is no indication of reviving nations, world trees or anything of those sort.
This isn’t dragonball z. You don’t get to revive a whole population, especially when the meta reason for the burning is that Blizzard wants less cities.
World Trees have literally been regrown and reblessed
Additionally, where do wisps come from, they’re the Night Elf Ancestors after all. And if they’re the Night Elf ancestors, who is Aessina? How did she end up in reality? How does a mortal become a manifested Wild God level entity? Hmm?
We literally have an alien race and got on their space ship to fight the interdimensional space satan in space, after the space army tried to invade earth where a prodigal child had to save us, who shortly thereafter Kamehameah’d another suspicious space alien being that is honestly a crystal android.
Illidan is Goku, I’m sorry.
Yeah, but that’s when you burn down Legoland (especially with devs that have such a fetish for the RTS days), and bring the two aesthetically pleasing Alliance capitals to the fore.
They’re infinitely easier to get around, anyways, with their concentric rings design.
We JUST had a player quit the forum in frustration at not being able to shape a better narrative through forum activity:
What makes you think you can do better?
Blizzard does do some stuff in answer to fan response–for example, they clearly had no plans for a new home for the Night Elves, but they mentioned that they’re considering possibilities now. However, I don’t think this is the place they pay attention to when it comes to fan dialogue. Twitter seems to be more where it’s at.
Because Blizzard only accepts feedback when it’s in the general direction of the vision/goal they’ve already set.
That is literally what has always happened, with class design, with narrative design, with gameplay mechanics design, etc.
The problem with most people is they want to give feedback that is 100% contrary to, diametrically opposed to the direction Blizzard wants.
It’s not realistic. Calia is happening. People can either provide feedback to make Calia more palatable, or they can go down kicking and screaming.
edit: I mean look at how Covenant locking system is shaping up. What Preach wants isn’t happening. And he needs to accept that and provide a Plan B and Plan C solution that is in the direction that Blizzard wants.
So like, does anything actually happen in this book? Because we can praise the character writing all we want but we know it won’t reflect in the game. The only thing the game may ever mention is big status quo shaking events, like the Gathering in Before the Storm, and as far as I can tell, there weren’t any here were there?
By some and still had corruption. You are putting things with no connection together.
It’s weird and it would make BfA even more meaningless.
Go on as much as you like. Nothing hints and what your saying.
The story won’t go there.
Yes. But it’s mostly a transition to Shadowlands (if you’re not interested in Bwonsamdi for example).
Well, some people did try and provide feedback for the Other Side, and it didn’t really seem to do anything. I would like it if they wrote Bwonsamdi to be more independent, instead of working for Mueh’zala and the Winter Queen (though the second one may just be out of attraction). Also they really need to get rid of the tree near Bwonsamdi’s Other Side, because it dosen’t suit him at all. I think a golden tower would be slightly better, but it might look out of place
I know how she feels. I feel like I’m going through a really tough part in my life, and I can relate to feeling frustrated at people not wanting to listen to me. My anxiety dosen’t help either, but I’m still better than how I was 5 years ago
Is Twitter really the way to go? Or reddit?
It seems like a no-win situation. If it’s pointless to give feedback because it’s entirely opposed to what Blizzard wants to do, then they’ll just blame the outcome on lack of feedback altogether. If you’re giving feedback you don’t really believe in because you’re trying to accommodate for what they want to do, then you’re just lying to yourself about what you really want and you’ll be unhappy anyway.
I don’t think this forum was ever meant for feedback anyway. It’s just a discussion/rant section of the website.
Definitely Twitter.
The Story Forums is a place to discuss story, but Blizzard has never shown they actively read it, even when we had ‘active’ blues.
I mean the description of the forum is just “Discuss World of Warcraft Lore” and that’s what we do, talk about the story.
I don’t think the Story Forums has ever influenced the story, nor do I think Blizz has mislead us in it doing so. The forum exists for players to talk to each other about the story, not to act as a review forum for it.
Assumingg you and Ikar are talking about Saurfang, Saurfang didn’t kill any night elf children.
