Shadows Beneath Trailer has so many haters but why? the Trailer is so good!

Shadow’s Beneath has 26k Likes and 24k Dislikes

meanwhile the announce trailer has 111k Likes and 9k Dislikes…

I thought Shadow’s Beneath was a lot more hype than 5 minutes of Anduin crying about having a headache to Thrall.

Shadow’s beneath is also filled with Comments of people saying it is bad… why?

The first comment likely speaks for many of the downvoters … and I certainly agree with what that comment and several immediately below it is saying: that first post has 2.5k likes, also

“If you compare this to the Wrath of the Lich King cinematic you will start to cry”
has 553 likes.,

I would also expect many downvotes come from the ‘anti-woke’ section whose vote is commenting on the nature of the main character featured in the video … that I don’t agree with but you can bet your life many who think like that played their part in the large downvote count.

It’s different from any of the previous expansion trailers, and doesn’t really tell you much about the story or any specific character, so it was bound to have a largely negative reaction.

Also, you have to remember that at one point 12 million players played World of Warcraft. Most of them are gone, many of them still follow WoW on YouTube/social media and just like to hate any updates about the game to validate the fact that they left. It’s unfortunate, but people can be petty.

Personally I prefer the format of previous expansion cinematics and hope they return to that format for Midnight.

it felt like they were trying to go for a vanilla/TBC cinematic vibe, but just fell flat.

It didn’t feel like it was setting the tone, or telling a story like the others did.

Faerin, I love how she looks in the cinematic, but she looks like a diablo character, not a wow character.
