shadow play is an unviable comp for the whole expansion, play something else
Thats not how the game works. Any comp can work, some are just more optimal.

shadowplay genuinely not gonna be a good comp whole expac just like it was barely playable last expac.
play a different comp.
I know that lock/hunter or mage/lock is Meta, but I have the most fun playing shadowplay.
I did find a long time shadow priest to run it with for next season and also found a boomkin to q with, which is equally unviable, but also equally fun to play.

unfortunately, they gutted spriest utility so splay setups aren’t as feasible and they have little ways to support the lock.
ill play with you sometime.
Splay is really bad rn…. But the deeper the damp, the better it gets.

What is actualy working for shadow btw? Ive had most succes with survival..but thats gotta be some rng bs. Maybe with rogue?..idk.
Braindead rot everything aff/sp was fun in the past but now i dont feelt.like its working anymore, especialy because shadow even if left alone poses little to no threath when enemy is tunelling lock with kicks etc.
surv felt horrid for me, but maybe i just suck.
My favorite were Assa/feral or mage imo. Also, owlplay felt really good, but it was also a literal 3k boomy.
Not sure how Shadow is feeling now in 12.1 but Affliction is feeling really strong. If Shadow got buffed too, could be a lot of fun!
Shadow got some buffs and its a damp meta right now, so shadow and affy are stronger.
Not sure what it’ll be like once gear and balancing happens but as of right now shadow play looks yo be a really strong comp.
ive been trying to figure out what the “buffs” are.
All I have seen is bigger dam on a few AoE things that only hit like 5k to start with. We also lose our tier for something that is arguably worse for 3 target pvp.
Am I missing a bunch of patch notes? I was trying to find the overall list but couldnt.

Mostly “All ability damage done increased by 8%.” And I believe 5% more in void form.
The majority of classes received similar buffs though, with only a few being nerfed.
Shadow and Aff buffs looking pretty good for Tuesday!
