I have been flying around Dreanor for like 45 minutes and have not found one Shadowmoon timber. Lots of old timber from the whole garrison stuff but no actual timber i can use in crafting. Anyone else find any?

"With the initial release of patch 11.2.7, Draenor trees are not yet ready for harvesting. We expect that they will become harvestable in the coming weeks.
Players looking for Shadowmoon Lumber to craft items with Warlords of Draenor professions should instead harvest Olemba Lumber from Outland. The lumberjack in each neighborhood will trade Olemba Lumber for an equal amount of Shadowmoon Lumber until the trees in Draenor catch up."

It’s the guy you get the lumberjack axe from. When you open up his inventory, the first thing will be the lumberjack axe, and the second will be the lumber.

i foudn him he is hidden on a stump near town center - dumbest placement

The lumber you get will be able to be traded into the lumber guy in the bazaar 1/1 soon. There is no Shadowmoon lumber yet but soon.

so weird they didnt just make this a sub profession like cooking. And ya, its hard to find the lumberjack because he has not map icon
Mate the intro quests literally force you to talk to that NPC, it’s not hidden and it’s in the town center. ???

In fairness, the lumberjack is really only relevant right now because of the not implemented state of Draenor Lumber. Once the feature is fully live the only time that NPC will matter is when the quest directs you to them for the Axe. Makes sense there’s no map icon for them.
You can get Olembra lumber in Outland, the forest around Shatt is easy. Then turn in that lumber to either the Troll or Dwarf lumber vendors at the Bizaar and get shadowmoon lumber to work with. Easy peasy

It appears the Lumberjacks, Alliance, and Horde have been moved near the General Contractor and no longer offer the axe or trade lumber.
This thread is a relic of a bygone era.
The hatchet should no longer be needed as, if I am not mistaken, we get the find lumber ability automatically as part of learning how to harvest lumber. And Shadowmoon lumber is now harvestable in the world so we no longer need to trade for it.
Which is all good and fine, except I just farmed 100 Olemba with the intention of trading it for Shadowmoon. lol

I did that last night. Not the same amount, but I did farm a lot of Olemba Lumber so I could trade it for Shadowmoon. I was so proud of myself for remembering I could do that, and where the lumberjack was hanging out nowadays. He was so rude to me last night when I showed up, though! And did not even hint to me that Shadowmoon Lumber was now available to be farmed up.

Was just in Shadowmoon around garrison and….it’s not great lumbering.

I’ve flown around all of the zones in Draenor and for about an hour now and I don’t see any shadowmoon lumber on the minimap or with my own eyes. Am I bugged? Do I need to farm some Olemba wood first or somethin insanely stupid like that?
