Shadowlands

I do not think that a level squish is a good idea at the end. At least to it being 60 again is kind of a mistake. I’d argue for a talent tree rework in all honesty. And just have a cap on talents and have a “prestige” point system where certain options would be “morphed” or can add more ranks to it. Just my opinion on the matter.

It’s just a number, I don’t know why a number bothers so many people.

I think the squish is a great idea.

I knew we tried to kill all the night elves for a reason … nothing but complaints from them.

Stat squish with gear is the only thing that blizzard did that was remotely good imo. BUT they removed what made the older items nearly not as good as they should be. A level increase every expansion, imo, was not a good idea. Heck, some of them should have been just added content to the current game/expansion.

I still stand by what I said, a level squish, is not a good idea. UNLESS blizzard is bringing back ALOT of things to the table because of it.

Heyo, I just wanted to state the pro’s of this.

  • You will no longer have to level 119 levels to get to current content. That is a lot of leveling - way too much in fact, so it’s understandable that we got a squish.

  • The Number doesn’t really effect or change much - it’s still gonna be the same wow you know, along with stats.

Overall I don’t really see any con’s. Though I kind of wish we got squished down to 80 instead of 60  Or possibly 70 - going back to BC/WOTLK levels would have been better then down to 60, allows for much more expanding of the levels instead of down to 60.

It’s going to be interesting and there isn’t much of a problem with it overall!

I don’t understand the point of the level squish if one of the reasons wasn’t to bring back the old style talent trees.

I personally think the level squish was because of the amount of levels you have to get to get to Max was too large, so they squished it back down.

Especially considering the game is almost entirely scaling-based, like most games, now, the hard number is totally irrelevant. They could make the game have 7 levels.

They did it/are going to do it, partially because of how 120 levels are perceived by new players that start playing the game.

Something they mentioned with the announcement.

Another reason is the sheer amount of levels in itself and how so many of the levels we gain provide nothing for us. No tangible sense of progression beyond just adding a +1 to that total number. Basically, they felt we had to many of those.

There are other reasons as well ofc.
