Yeah, I thought it was hilarious that he was trying to play it off like this was how they planned the story to go since Warcraft 3.
Dude, you haven’t even decided on the basic motivations behind your primary lead enemy of the story currently, most of the way through the expansion. It’s clear that The Jailer was created to be a Thanos-wannabe because someone got real excited after seeing the Avengers movies and was shoehorned into the universe while still being an incomplete placeholder of a character.
“This is the culmination of the story that we’ve been telling since Warcraft 3” my butt. That’s just like, bordering on insulting.

It’d be super cool if it was an actual puzzle you had to figure out. (Of course, Wowhead would probably just have a complete guide to beating it in five minutes two months before the patch even launched.)
Unfortunately, it’ll probably wind up being more like “Thank you for turning in 1000 rune chits! Only 99000 to go and you can read quest text!”

Sorry, meant in terms of my personal opinion! I know there’s people who will enjoy it and stuff, particularly those into heavy sci-fi, which I really dislike. None of the mount or pet designs look good to me personally at all, I absolutely hate their designs.
I’m looking at the design and story. Some people are focused on ‘content’ or whatever, that’s stuff I couldn’t care less about. It’s been lackluster for quite a while and Blizzard has appealed to the high-end players for years now while ignoring others.
From a story & design perspective… I dislike it. A lot. Again, personal opinion, not putting down those that like it.

Players requested tier sets…and they made us all black and gold Tyrael clones from D3.
I see absolutely no reason to give them any credit on originality or design.
We will all look the same.

And i just read “Grimoire of Shadowland and beyond” written by him and Copeland, (published the 3 november in France, so i’m late), they were really arrogant to throw another jab at “Chronicle” while doing a poor with the lore.

I am legitimately curious how they’re going to balance double leggos along with tier sets along with conduits along with covenant abilities. That’s A LOT of balancing over just any one form of content forget all of them
Update: We’ve received confirmation that the first week of Normal and Heroic mode raiding will be locked to the first 8 bosses (up to and including Anduin), while the full 11 bosses will become available on week two when Mythic difficulty releases.
Precisely why I never bought it. I read some of those excerpts and it was infuriating. Danuser wasn’t even involved in any aspect of producing the Chronicle books, but has the gall to retcon its entire purpose AND use his own book to just insult people who were irritated. As long as he’s at the helm, the lore will continue to just be more of this.

So now it’s not just LFR players who are the plebian underclass, now even Normal and Heroic raiders have to wait in line until the Mythic crowd takes their shot first.
The schadenfreude in me is thick and viscous.
