Shadowlands was actually better than Dragonflight and War Within

I’m not religious. I just feel if you’re going to make something about the afterlife, make it esoteric. So mysterious, strange that it should never make sense to use as the players.

Think the game control but dialed to 11.

But it literally just felt like another zone. You got angels with directives, you got vampires sucking soul juice. You got lich king zone but worst.

It felt so plain.

The “shadowlands” from the death knight starting zone, where you get your steed, was esoteric. I didn’t fully grasp the viel and I loved that about it

Now I 100% get how the afterlife works and it is boring.

i think bliz even leaned into it pretty hard themselves with in-jokes about it

Oh, I missed those. I don’t do any other WoW social media other than here.

nah, we’re living in the afterlife. No special powers, just doomed to normalcy

It might’ve helped but would it no longer have been memed “Systemlands”?

Yup, shadowlands was so normal that legion stuff felt more outwordly

:face_with_raised_eyebrow:

I was curious as to what was going to be said.
You did not disappoint.

I swear to god all you need do is make a bad guy slightly flamboyant and people start clapping like seals

Yea, I just think the theme was implemented poorly. It was like even the SL’s had spirits, but we weren’t a spirit? The template was there to make something cool, but I just think they didn’t take it far enough.

I remember, when my mom used to play WoW (She quit for good during Shadowlands), we’re both Christian, and she actually did the Maw Intro before I did, because I had work during the first couple days of Shadowlands, and did not have time to play until a few days after its launch.

She, however, had plenty of time to do the intro before I did.

And the very first thing that she noticed, which was actually kinda noticeable?

The “Arbiter” was female.

Obviously.

That was literally the first thing she noticed about Shadowlands was the fact they put an NPC named “the Arbiter” and of course they made it a female.

We are barely at a major patch with more content. We are coming close to 1 month of TWW, and you already made your mind up about the expac? We still have like over a year of content to go through.

And after 2 seconds of reviewing your past posts, i can tell you are a Shadowlands andy, and will pretty much always compare anything to it.

Vampire dude was a worse version of Lestat, so you might be on to something.

“Coven” is not a synonym for “covenant”. However, covens might have made it more interesting.

You’re right. People shouldn’t be feeling they’re in a content drought so early in an expansion.

Lol that was funny. A robot that was a women. I was expecting something more grand. The jailer also being a robot is just…yeah.

Bastion plot, where kyrians defend bastion from the invasion of maldraxus surpasses all TWW content combined, including raid.

That is because he’s a troll. He knows everyone hates shadowlands so he makes posts saying how much he loves it to bait people into the threads and it works.

He even picks Bastion has his favorite story and zone. So yeah, you know he is just taking the piss.

yo I read Female in your posts like as if you were a Ferengi

LoL.

They are trying for that. I’ll give that a nod.

It’s not working and her being an utter failure in TWW’s story so far isn’t going to help. She failed upwards into destroying Xal’s Macguffin and that is all she has done.

Are you a troll or what? SL is the worst expansion. period. Everything sucked. Idk about raiding, was not raiding at that time.

I’m lost on this.

Don’t answer if you feel the answer might cause conflict, but what is wrong with Arbiter and female? To me, I just think of Arbiter like in a legal sense. Does it have other meaning?
