Not fun…as in game play. I hated even Revendreth for that…Im talking only about aesthetics. Love looking at the zone.
Game play wise…the entire expansion was just overly annoying.
People treat the flag as a “I wholly disagree with this so I think it should be nuked even though they didn’t technically say anything wrong”.
While I do not agree with the OP whatsoever, I don’t think it should have been flagged, no.
I think people flagged it on the grounds they are assuming he is trying to troll, which is kind of a stretch to make. “I disagree” != “You’re trolling” unless it is very blatant and obvious, which… I wouldn’t say the OP is.
Ah. i’m still pretty new to the forums so that just doesn’t make sense to flag something like this topic.
I’m assuming the mod will unflag it though.
Definitely a personal perspective thing. Im more into vampires and castles than angels.
Bastion was my least favorite zone, even over the green land of Vomit there lol
Other than what most people dislike about Shadowlands, I think the biggest is probably subconscious in a way. Nobody likes being dead, and basically, we’re all dead, and alive at the same time. Die in the SL, and you’re double dead. It was just not well executed.
Ha ha ha ha!
Bastion was just so boring. Cool place to fly around in by so boring. Design was cool but the story behind it was just bad.
Didn’t like undead zone either. It reeked of “you liked wrath right? Well here is wrath 2.0 but bigger and better” but without any of the aspects of why we liked wrath. Aka, Arthas and his fall into the lich king.
Another reason I hated Shadowlands…
“Maw Walker!”
“Maw Walker!”
“Hey, Maw Walker!”
“We need you, Maw Walker!”
“Maw Walker! Do this now!”
“Get over here, Maw Walker!”
… I got so sick of hearing those two words over and over again.
Sylvanas was the most awesome looking WoW character then. If you like WoW statues, her figurines were the best.
Since they put down Sylvanas, she has to be replaced. Alleria is replacing her for the most awesome looking WoW character. I am waiting to see her statues and figurines.
I never felt like I was dead in shadowlands. In fact, shadowlands didn’t even feel like the afterlife. Just another planet.
I did enjoy more shadowlands than TWW.
Quest experience was better storywise.
After finish main campaign i had torghast, maw, anima, dungeons, pvp and raid to play.
In TWW after finish main campaign i have delve, dungeon, pvp and raid, feels like less content but with a worse story.
Trolls harder
Torghast with gear rewards at the end might’ve changed shadowlands for the better
That was before the era of Dragonflight, where it was M+, PvP, Raid, or die.
That was back when WoW devs did not want you having gear unless you did grouped endgame content.
So obviously solo content absolutely must NOT give you gear.
That’s what I mean. It was just like another zone, but we’re supposed to be in deadlands. I thought the intro part was good, and aspects of the maw felt afterlifelike, but overall I didn’t get the sense this was a spiritual plane of existence.
I also do think people hate being dead. Maybe not you, but just the idea bothers some.
9.1 aside (worst patch to ever exist), I agree that Shadowlands is much better than TWW, so far. But, definitely not better than Dragonflight.
Some of us are also religious and did not really like the whole afterlife thing, just because.
/shrug
Not saying I don’t hate being dead. I stated I never felt that I was dead. The afterlife didn’t feel like the afterlife so we weren’t dead. The afterlife felt like another planet. So being dead never crossed my mind.
I always laughed, because to me it sounded like they were calling me “Mall Walker”, and it made me picture little old ladies in workout clothes.
I definitely remember the Mall Walker memes, yes.
