schrodinger’s wow payer:
simultaneously is an expert on SL while also advising they didn’t play SL.
? I played it, it was just so bad I forgot most of it. I also played a lot of ff14 at the same time.
They still never truly explained what Anima is other than Soul energy. Like…what? What does that even mean.
I have to actually think to remember much about Shadowlands.
I usually remember the negatives and really have to try to remember any fond memories of it. Usually just the birbs or Ardenweald. The rest of it is kinda “meh” in my mind.
EDIT: Anima is a common trope, you see it in other games and stories. It’s just basically “soul energy” just like how vague “mana” or “magic” is. Handwavey “it just is” type stuff.
You know, it just dawned on me that they destroyed the helm of domination for the helm of wills and I totally forgot about that because my god…that was bad.
Agreed. Shadowlands was way more interesting.
It didn’t help that Shadowbringers was an absolute banger of an expansion from start to finish.
Kinda happy but also sad that Endwalker wound up being my end point playing FFXIV, but at least WoW got back to an enjoyable state. I feel like they keep simplifying classes in FFXIV too much for my liking.
Cough(they are trolling you)cough
while I 1000% disagree…SL was total crap in my opinion…its very telling that the juveniles in here are soo immature that just disagreeing with your SUBJECTIVE OPINION TRIGGERED the kiddies here and was enough to make them flag bomb your post lol
But Lalafels the best race btw.
So adorable
People flagged it not because “IMMATURE KIDS” but because we all know it is a troll post.
the relic is just there so Y’shtola can go back to her Hrothgar BF-er i mean so we can easily travel to the other reflections
it’s the real plot moving forward, dawntrail first half is just as they said, a vacation adventure.
i think if the end of ew had us take a temproary power hit it would have made some of the events in part 1 dawntrail make more sense and believable. Then halfway through we could regain it somehow (even if it was just like how anduin lost faith and power).
Actually that might’ve been pretty cool. Like if we really started to doubt our faith after defeating endsinger, maybe somehow one of the badguys gaslit us into it even, and after watching lamati grow we got our groove back.
Lalafels are super evil. Kinda amazing to see how the political backstabbing from the cute ones.
You are objectively wrong. You know what that means? We have more people playing wow now than SL. Me thinks you’re just a troll.
Can you not read or can you not understand? Which is it so I know how best to respond to this ridiculous statement.
Wrong again.
I feel like they brought some complexity back in DT, while streamlining at the same time, and…
Some of WoW’s classes are just braindead.
Like Fury Warrior. Fun, but only requires 5 active braincells to play.
is not a “bomb”, 2 trolls reporting is enough
100% agree with this post.
For what it’s worth…
Raubahn was just in what he did pre-SB.
Oh don’t get me wrong, WoW definitely has specs on the simpler side. My big deal is when simplification happens to classes in FFXIV that starts impacting actual class fantasy and gameplay.
For instance, Dragoon. They outright removed/modified heavily thematic abilities into bland “you can’t screw this up if you tried” things. It’s a shell of what it was.
Same for Summoner back when they did the heavy modifications to it in Endwalker. The changes were somehow even more disruptive than WoD → Legion Demonology Warlock, lol.
There’s the guys and there’s the girls.
The guys are mostly evil except for a few wholesome ones, and the girls are just downright kill you with cuteness (like Tataru).
Though they all seem to love money, yes, even Tataru. She just won’t kill you for money.
I dunno, I kinda like Summoner in EW+.
/shrug
It’s way more fluid, and still has you summoning all the egi-primals, and that 2 button melee combo with a caster class, is dope. And I love being able to actually move while DPSing, unlike black mage.
