This quest relies on things being available in the auction house that are no longer there due to the addon no longer being current.
It is uncompletable.
Please update the quest so it makes sense.

I’ve seen legendary base items on the AH of my realms, but I could see a low-population realm groups might have a weak market for those.
Your alternative would to craft the leggo base item yourself, if you have the appropriate profession among your characters, or use the Trade channel in a city to solicit a crafter to do it for you.

I’ll likely have no choice but to do it myself, but it seems to defeat what I assume is the purpose of the quest.
Im guessing the devs wanted to give an incentive to crafting for the Shadowlands addon, which is fine. However, it no longer current.
Heres another way of looking at this -
Pandaria Remix.
It has no AH.
If there was a Shadowlands Remix, how would this quest work?
Please update it.
Furthermore, there are no professions in Remix (other than fishing), so that quest would be utterly impossible. I would assume that at some point before or early in Shadowlands Remix, they’d provide some alternative.
But we’re not talking about Remix, and economic conditions aren’t bugs.
Certainly, I won’t be updating anything, since I’m not a Blizzard developer. Blizzard employees post in blue text, and the developers don’t post (or read here) in this forum at all. (Blizzard QA transfers reports here to the internal developer work tracking system if the report looks legitimate, but the developers themselves don’t read here.)
