Shadowlands should be like 10$

I don’t feel like additional race customization should be the main feature of the expansion.

Why won’t (or did not) we get any extra customization as the game developed over the years?

There are not featured:

  • Any new races
  • Any new classes
  • Any new talents
  • Any class overhauls

We get:

  • Hairstyles and tattoos
  • New zones
  • Rogue tower
  • Some old skills back that were removed because they were not used (Bliz words).
  • Old “Rental Ability” grinding system is going to be renamed and used again.

Look, I really like extra stuff, but this just seems not enough.
I don’t really think that 40$ for a couple of hairstyles/tattoos is really worthy.

Haha, you’re funny. You pay $60 for the vision now and then another $180 for the vision over the course of the next 12 months before they cut half of the vision you paid for to announce a new vision. No refunds, enjoy your Inclusion Nexus at Blizzcon.

They said the covenants will have their own talent tree so they should be mostly new things imo.

The bulk of every expansion is the zones, quests, dungeons and raids.

Your paying for the content access. And also a sub. Either way you are paying.

Also allied races means any new race can be added anytime. Any shadowlands allied races will probably require a lvl 60 to unlock and rep.

Covenants look like a great feature. Same with the maw. Many new zones with dungeons and raids. Checks all the usual boxes. I’m excited and with the sudden infestation of glowing worms it seems a lot of other people are.

Classes are not always added in an expansion.

Same with races. We just got like 8 over the course of BFA so I don’t really think it’s needed

I’d spend my money elsewhere then.

Seems rather stupid to complain about something for which we have very little information so far.

What is that? So each of your followers have their own talent tree?

Torghast is completely new (for wow). I would call that the “main feature” along with the many aspects that covenants bring (talents, unique abilities, upgradable mounts, xmog)

While customization is the thing im personally most excited for (more troll skins please) it definitely wasn’t presented as the “main” feature

You “soulbind” one of several members of the covenant you choose. Each gives you access to a talent tree like in the one that was posted. Those talents affect you directly. If the covenant ability is like your legion artifact on use ability, these are like the passive traits. They’ll affect you directly

Good, because that’s not the “main feature” of the expansion.

We just got 8 new races with 2 more on the way, we can take a short break on new races.

New classes are overrated

We don’t know this for sure.

We know classes aren’t going to change drastically, but there are still going to be some changes.

Then don’t buy it.

I pay $60 for a single 4 hour round of golf.
$60 for a game expansion is peanuts.

Probably everything that would have gone into a more complete feature set got eaten by the tech they needed to make Torghast’s procedural floors work. Welcome to Garrison 2.0.

Yep, Gaming a cheap hobby in thegrand scheme of things.

As I look over the 1000s of dollars of lens i have for my photography hobby.

Smaller scale…I can do 60 on one night with friends on cab fair. Or at least 30 one wAy home If i get a ride to the place

I don’t even play around with dui lol. I know 1 beer involved the car stays home. 1 becomes 2 2…may as well finish what you started properly lol.

yeah…$60 is a couple pizzas. I dont know why some of these guys are crying about the $$$.
Walk into a game store some time when theyre playing a miniatures battle. These guys spend THOUSANDS on their gaming. $60 for an expansion is chicken feed.

Im sure 1/2 of the aerite powers we have now wont be renamed / reskined / slightly tweaked for use in this “new” system…
Yep thats totally not going to happen.

Zones, dungeons, raids, covenants, customizations, revamped leveling, my old skill friends, and who knows what else that hasn’t been released yet since it’s a year off.

I’m gonna buy it. And it’ll be well worth it.

What wow doesn’t need:

  1. new races - there are plenty.
  2. new classes - there isn’t a significant lore or gameplay gap /niche to warrant it.
  3. new talents - please there is already significant button / keybind bloat with generic and similar abilities for the sake of having similar abilities to try and fake class depth. We don’t need more talents unless they are passive.
  4. class overhaul - no. Just no. Stop overhauling and changing classes and instead focus on balancing them. Keep everything the same but fix the numbers.
