Allowing new players to level to where current players are would allow for more inclusion when the expansion comes out. Having to level through old content when a new expansion is out feels bad.
it’d also make the world empty below level cap for new players during the entire NeXT expansion.
It would be nice if they’d tell us when it’s being rolled into the base game.
Historically each expansion gets rolled into the base game once the prepatch for the next expansion drops (whether it gets added to chromie time immediately or not has varied a little bit, but usually that happens somewhere between prepatch and the next xpac launch)
I don’t see any reason to assume that they would suddenly break that pattern now, especially without any indication that things would be different this time round.
It really says something when there’s a ton of topics about the exact same unclear information (mine included).
I don’t know what’s so hard about saying “okay, this is when SL gets rolled into base game like we’ve said in the past.”
It had me thinking tomorrow is when I get to level to 60 but the radio silence is taking the wind out of my sails here.
From my understanding, Shadowlands was only free for returning players, and is only included in the base game once DF has been released. I’ll check today to see if that has changed.
It looks like shadowlands is now included with the subscription, the page on the store was removed and the subscription page was updated to say “dragonflight sold separately” rather than mentioning shadowlands.
Literally just yesterday the Dragonflight pre-purchase Product Details says “Requires Shadowlands.”
Today it doesn’t. And buying Shadowlands at all is removed from the store. My account details were also weirdly flipping between BFA and Shadowlands until I bothered to finally purchase Dragonflight a moment ago, so the account detail proof is a little wonky unless you just buy DF now.
