So the Shadowlands preview said we’re getting a return to class identity and gave us a lot of good examples:
Paladins getting auras, rogues getting poisons, warlocks getting curses all regardless of their spec, ect.
I’m personally very excited for what they’ve listed, but Warrior stances were notably absent from the list. What else was missing that you guys want to see the devs attempt to implement as skills that really give you a sense of class identity?
More buttons to press in all aspects of the game. Your monk rotation will be 12 buttons. For Monk class identity means not slotting any weapons but your hands and feet start at item level 475…but wait since the squish they are now 300. Level 60. No wait thats skill. Also you will have to hit the space bar twice while rotating the mouse for the full Bruce Lee effect. Hope that clears up class identity.
TL:DR Blizzard has no clue what class identity is anymore. All those people have left the company !
I mean, they’ve pruned for 3 expansions straight. They haven’t added anything permanent to classes since like… MOP. I think it’s time for some new, permanent abilities not tied to a stupid artifact.
I would love back a lot of abilities that were turned into talents, and then get us new talents. Abilities like Phoenix Flames come to mind. Baseline abilities or artifact abilities that were removed or turned into talents.
Abilities like Symbiosis would be fun to have back.
