yeah but he wanted to know how it is now.
Scaling is what truly made the WOD gearing system work.
That’s not what “conquest cap” is. Conquest cap is filling your bar every week starting from the beginning of the season. Each time you turn in, the bar changes to tell you to come back next week.
If you’re behind, you can keep turning in that quest until you catch up.
Conquest has actually been rewarding 460 gear for months, so you’re way behind.
Yea, WoD and prior were great, you just did your bgs, got your honor, bought the honor pieces you needed, started doing rated and bought your conquest pieces in the order YOU decided.
What is the point of typing this? Do you need attention?
This is the compromise we get because of the perceived rng in pve. It’s not perfect, but this game never was.
I mean, rng isn’t perceived at all in PvE, it’s really a thing. But I don’t think anyone asked to have almost all player agency taken from pvp.
Not really. We do dungeons and raids for gear. Sometimes the gear drops, sometimes it does not. The way it always has.
You could argue wf/ tf/ socket/ corruption, but honestly those just soft nerf content to make it easier.
S1 pvp gear was a acquisition was a little too strong. Instead of reasonably toning it down, they nerfed it into the dirt.
Just the gear dropping or not is RNG though, there’s no ifs, ands, or buts about it, yes the game has always been like that, but it doesn’t suddenly NOT make it rng
Yeah I agree with you, we do get to choose but if PvE sets keep being better than PvP sets, then what’s the point on even buying PvP sets?
Then what’s the point on even buying PvP sets if PvE sets keep being better? Forcing PvPers to do content they don’t want in order to be decent in PvP it’s kind of a boomer ![]()
I couldn’t say it better than you did.
I never asked for a PvP vendor… xD I knew it would be useless if the PvP system keeps being the same. What I’m asking is a PvP only Stat.
I agree with this too. I started in MOP and you had pvp gear from pvp and pve gear from raids and stuff. I did mostly raids in MOP but when WOD launched i setup the garrison pvp structure and did nothing but RBG and other pvp events other than world quests. I had good gear for pvp from pvp and didnt need to mess with pve if i didnt want to…
there is nothing wrong with pvp sets and pve sets. you can either get both for each or do one side only. why should someone PVE to get better at battlegrounds??
Please change my mind
If you are going to put forth an argument, this really should be omitted, it’s kind of implied that there is going to be or should be a debate of some kind.
People always telling others to change their mind feels weird.
No TF/WF or any stupid system, you’ll have PVP vendors to gear that can be upgraded. Dependent on the cap of said upgrade, you should be MORE than capable of staying up there. Only time will tell for how competitive you can be.
For the majority it should be perfectly fine.
Exactly. What most PvP players want is to separate PvE from PvP. Let PvP sets be good in only PvP and let PvE sets be good only in PvE. Is that too much to ask?
Can’t say I agree. The gear one gets should be good for all aspects of the game.
Agreed. Its an mmorpg that has multiple aspects gear shouldnt be separated into two.
With pvp gear being equal to (you can upgrade the pvp gear) mythic+ this is doable mostly because of the upgrade stuff.
Here’s a crazy idea… how about Blizzard work on PVP gear vendors that offer many different options as far as gear pieces and stats are concerned. Case closed.
But what would be the point on buying sets from vendors when PvE sets are better?

except its not its pure trash. would be one thing if the raid tier gear also dropped in pvp but i just got an ilvl 190 gear from BFA pvp battleground wtf
