Good to see now the question is will the PvP gear be totally irrelevant again? More than likely.
Im afraid if there isnt a pvp stat we’ll run into the problem of m+ being the go-to way to gear for pvp once again.
“Blue” rarity gear though… that sort of implies it’s going to be inferior/weaker gear. Good gear is usually epic/“purple”.
Rated gear is 20 ilvls higher.
No PvP stat means M+ will still be the way to go as someone said above or if upgrading the gear would make it on par at least then it can be compete with M+
The “first” season’s PvP gear has historically been blue quality, with epic tier gear being released with later seasons.
There is no pvp stat in SL.
I mean we already knew that though… they never mentioned a pvp stat and when they confirmed vendor that literally meant nothing about pvp stat.
I understand your point and yes if you can get higher ilvl from mythic plus that’s the way to go. But let’s be real here. Start of an xpac you always pved at the beginning for some loot. So I dont see an issue with that.
However the time it takes to upgrade will be the determining factor… So this system will probably fail due to being gated too long where someone can gear several characters in m+ in the same amountof time pvp takes.
It’s basically sounding like we have now where the “blue gear” is from random/wpvp cp capping and the rated gear is from, well… rated pvp. 1600+ would give you better upgrades basically.
Very true lets be honest too Legendaries are returning. I mean Legion legendaries and I am pretty sure they are going to work in PvP. Granted they are customizable now and you can craft them.
However lets not forget everyone will have BiS Legendaries in SL. So what is PvP gear going to offer? We are doing Torghast for Legendary chest and crafting our gear. That is 100% what is going to happen.
I am alright with having to do the new content specifically to craft a legendary. Especially since we will be able to target the one we want. No RNG.
My biggest concern is that everything else will be PVE too.
Well yea of course this game is based on M+ for some reason. Which is terrible as it’s the least fun thing to do. Then we have the Covenants which will be where our abilities come from.
At least from what Ion said we will only be able to wear one legendary for now and i am going to assume it will be like legion where as we progress through the expansion they may let us wear more
