Skimmed the video and it seems like he’s just talking about the recent changes. Mostly talkin’ about how the change incentivizes rated arena and RBGs.

Why am i forced to do RATED PVP for gear? i WANT conquest through BGS.

I’m just unsure what’s fixed about it. Last I heard people were upset about not being able to get strong ilvl gear from PVP, and for a long while now you seemingly could get up to 197 gear through upgrading it with honor, but that wasn’t enough for some I suppose?

I just never really understood the issue at its heart, I guess.

You get 190ilvl through conquest
or 200 ilvl through unrated gear on the vault
you can then upgrade that gear with HONOR not conquest on the vendor, but the ilvl you can upgrade to is based on your rating.

Idk, folks are sayin’ that you’ll still want to gear via Mythic+ over Arena/RBGs since it’ll be faster.

Ah okay, so it will just be quicker for the best players to max out their gear, otherwise the same scenario that has been present for a while on the beta?

Not my overall point though. It’s all about the competitive edge to get geared up to PvP faster.

If all you do is pvp you’ll have a better time, believe that’s what he’s saying.

And it’s good for alts because they conquest cap is rolling, so if they come in halfway through the season their cap will be like 9k

Now that I think about it, the last time I was PvPing on a regular basis was in WoD… I remember gearing for the 10th anniversary event with honor, and also have fond memories of BG healing on my disc priest before the spec redesign made me stop playing her in… basically disgust.
