Shadowlands problem

since sylvanas broke the helm of domination whats stopping the undead from killing everyone since there free now and have a will

Ignoring the fact that that whole line of thought still doesn’t make sense eleven years later, I’m pretty sure the answer is “literally nothing.”

I leave whether or not this will come up in the story as a mental exercise for the reader.

i feel like there just trying to empower sylvanas as a female character and i feel like its really stupid to break the helm they could of just as easily done something else seeing that they didnt think this through .

While there’s something to be said for Blizzard’s idea of empowered women being exclusively the most milquetoast brand of Girlboss Feminism possible, complete with more war crimes, I think you can just as easily argue that any empowerment she gains is actually intended to make us dislike her more.

Sylvanas is the only character to my knowledge that brings up any sort of idea of female empowerment at all (via a throwaway line in a single novel, but still), and she ranks among the morally worst people in the entire setting. She’s up there with Warcraft’s Satan analogue, and given her betrayal at the end of BfA, it’s clear that even the Horde - the people who, through popular demand, had extra quests added in so they could support her - are meant to dislike her. It’s sort of like that old Eric Andre clip:

So if empowerment is their goal, it’s interesting that they picked the character a player would least like to be empowered with anything as the mouthpiece for that empowerment.

It does sometimes feel like they set up a lot of “See? Women in power, smdh. Can’t control their emotions” signaling but I’m probably just reaching since there’s tons of douchey dudes too.

Yeeeeaaaaaaah if their goal with Sylvanas was “female empowerment” they have failed spectacularly

I um…kind of hope the mindless undead go crazy and kill everything and evvvvvveryone.

Not that Blizz will think to do that. The next expac will probably be focusing on orcs vs humans. Again.

I wanted N’Zoth to win. Full on Rebirth of the Black Empire, near apocolypse.

Blizzard writing bad.

Where light laser ship when siege Lordaeron
Why consequences now:(

Isn’t there a pre-patch event planned where the mindless Scourge start rampaging across Azeroth, which leads us back to Icecrown?

I think there was datamined stuff about it a while ago, but I have no links and I am far too lazy to look for them.

Who’s to say that this current timeline isn’t our worst nightmare? Nzoth won, we just don’t know it yet

(Seriously, that’s what you’re checking? )

Why are you here, Level 34, 6-post character from Kelthuzad? Should we take a guess?

What in the sam hill is going on here

No one knows. But we made some off-realm guy mad.

I’m a pretty firm believer that the embodying yourself in an avatar is an act of empathy, and I think that having empathy toward women encouraged makes you more conscious of this kind of thing.

That and, well, a lot of us are women in real life, too.
