Shadowlands Preview: Forge Your Own Legendary Items

I was looking forward to SL. As more news comes out, not so much. At this point there’s not really a reason for me to even play this expansion. Maybe the one after will be better.

Inscription makes the Missives though, which ya kinda need.

I suppose the question is, how valuable are those hours (plus what you’ll need to spend leveling again and leveling the relevant trade skills in time/gold? And following that, are they just profession mules or actually characters you’re interested in?

If it all shakes down to say 50 hours to level 2 toons and get the right profession stuff, vs 2 token sales to cover what you’d need for your existing characters, then there could definitely be a solid reason to buy them.

I am actually adding one to my roster, (unrelated to the SL profession issue, I just wanted to) and I’m going LW and I guess skinning to help out. My Bank toon I picked up JC and inscription, so if I can get motivated to her max out I might be in business.

Make sure you don’t throw anything away!

anyone notice the blood elf with alliance tabard?

I agree with you. The worst thing ever in BFA was that one of my BiS essences was locked behind PVP. I just gave up and moved on. Not worth bothering with. I will do the same here as well. I would rather play other games than have to try and farm for something in content I don’t enjoy.

That memory is also a drop from a world boss, so who knows how long it’ll take to even be available.

Depends on whether the world boss cycle will actually work, or if it will be like legion where some bosses were bugged and rarely ever showed up.

It is just Azerite armor 2.0
Have no idea how you do not consider this borrowed power as well.

Yup, just like when they bragged there were 200 azerite traits… only a handful were of any use. Ohh and what a shock there are 200 legendary items too?

Well the argument can be made that it is borrowed power, but unlike azerite its a source of targetable, deterministic power.

The legendary is one slot not three.

So no it is not like azerite armor.

:surfing_woman: :surfing_man:

They left engineering off the list as well. So I guess my main falls into this catagory too.

@dalfurane it does seem inscription is listed (for doing the stat part) it’s like: alchemy gets nothing to do with it (they should at least get a trinket as they always have) and enchanting gets nothing to do with it…
Maybe the solution is we just sell our potions and enchants for more so we have the coin to buy what we need from others haha.

Since then I figured out enchanting makes bars that BS needs for theirs. So that helps, especially since I’m enchanting/mining
