Shadowlands pathfinder

If you don’t need flying, don’t fly. The rest of us want flying, and need it, if we are to continue subscribing.

wonder how much griping theyd hear if Blizzard announced tomorrow that pathfinder is now being applied to pvp? you would have to grind out all the reps to flag or join any BGs

after all pvp is just as much an optional part of WoW as flight so why not make pvpers have to do the same in order to enable the part of the game THEY enjoy?

You don’t need it. You want it.

If you don’t chop off the end of my sentence and misquote me, you’ll be provided with the context for ‘need’.

standard media tactic when in doubt lets copy and paste words in different order take things out of context in order to make the opposite position look good while the original comment would destroy the credibility of those opposed to it

You already know how it work:

  1. You will have to earn rep for months.
  2. You will have to kill 600 players in each of the new Zones.
  3. You will have to clear all raids, from Vanilla to Shadowland, in one day.
  4. You will have to level your toon to lvl 60, 4 consecutive times with only grey quality gear (it reset to level 1 upon reaching level 60 for the first 3 times)

If you don’t like pathfinder and are threatening Blizzard of unsubbing, or try to influence people of not buying next expansion in order to forced them to do things they don’t want, i think you are ready to go elsewhere…

WoW isn’t for you if PF makes you quit. Go FF where they let you fly after 1 or 2 hours of questing in a zone progressively.

People are tired of being strung along. The original poster didn’t threaten Anything they wanted to know how long they would have to wait before. Pathfinder would be available so they would know when to subscribe. I’m wondering the same thing myself. I’m not going to even buy the expansion until I see more about it. Probably will buy it After they announce when Pathfinder 2 will, but I’m not going to bother spending myself money on a game until I can fly.

Don’t worry a lot of us already have.

I think that sounds very reasonable.

I don’t mind a 6 month delay to flying, but don’t like the rep requirement to continually need to do daily repeated quests instead of playing the game the way I feel inspired to play. Tortalin rep for BFA is insane in the membrane, since turtles don’t fly anyway.

i couldn’t agree more, but i believe those days are gone. this is not your fathers WoW™. i tried classic, and it’s virtually the same as it was, but the people are different, and that’s what made vanilla great. and i don’t mean the people playing classic are evil or mean, far from it. it’s just a different time, and different place than 15 years ago.
…and so is retail. i don’t see this current group of devs, with their current leadership doing anything different than the same lousy job they are doing now. i’m sure someone likes it, but i don’t. if h visions, and one year wait on flying are now the norm, it will be an easy decision to move on.

Well the trend is not unlocking flight until at least patch X.2. So just wait until after that patch goes live before checking back in.

  1. Get Part 1…
  2. Unsubscribe until Part 2.
  3. Get Part 2…
  4. Fly.

There is nothing that says you have to remain subscribed between Part 1 and the release of Part 2 if you don’t want to be.

and this is what i’m going to do. i will have seen everything getting part one, so i’ll do that and come back for part 2, which will also have ketchup mechanics in place. or it might be so bad, i won’t even play it.

Probably best to wait 6 months. That way you’ll get to do the level up content all by yourself. No one around to compete for mobs, etc. No one to run normal dungeons with, because they are all on to mythics, raids, and world quests. And, then you’ll still have to do all the chores that are required for pathfinder anyway.

Not sure what you are trying to avoid exactly. I actually don’t know what anti-pathfinder people want. Do they (you) want the MoP system, where you can buy flight immediately when you get max level?

I like pathfinder as well. I have too many alts not to.

Flight is not gameplay and does not need to be in the game to enjoy relevant content. It’s actively harmful to the game in ways that it was not in BC and encourages detrimental gameplay.

Not flying extends the “Play-time” metric and it extends the very little content that exists in WOW nowadays.

Don’t do that, play at release for a few months to unlock the first requirements. Then unsub for 6-9 months until the final requirements are available then when it’s released you only have to do those before you get access to it!
