Blizzard continues trying to bring Diablo concepts into WoW. They are vastly different games so what works for one isn’t automatically a good fit for the other. But I guess I’ll have to play Diablo if I ever wanna wear tier sets again.
But if people are willing to pay $15 per month then it has at least that same value for them too. If it had less value they wouldn’t pay it. Value is determined by buyers.
I don’t see how that’s bad?
I could pay $60 for a mount, xmog, and character boost as well as the actual xpac as well as early access to allied race DKs. Then also have to pay $15 for this month’s play time. A total of $75. Or I could pay $80 and get all the stuff from the $60 as well as a pet, weapon illusion, and hearthstone effect and 30 days of play time.
If someone is planning on playing wow this month anyways they’ll be paying the $15 either way. If they are planning on getting the mount and mog and such anyways then getting the pet and illusion will only be an extra $5 in the grand scheme of things.
There is absolutely nothing stated or shown that indicates this at all.
I wasn’t particularly either, until I saw how the combined mount/mog/pet aesthetic plays out when you use them all at once. I only see myself using all three in tandem.
Honestly, I don’t like it. It’s a celestial wrym with Argussian armor. Whoopie! Gratz on those who took the bait and switch for $59.99 (USD).
I would of imagined Blizzard would of put up a poll for what mount the majority of the community would vote for based on each Covenant’s mount. I believe that would of been a better solution than just, “Oh, here, btw, we kept this under wraps for ya, but, this is the BEST we can come up with, behold, the Celestial Wyrm + Armor”. AAA Development Mount for $60. It’s not even WORTH $60 including pet + 120 boost. Come on guys, you’re feeding into this piggy bank that’s already over flowing with cash. It is what it is, it’s your money at the end of the day. /facepalm
The mount looks like an Alliance-themed… device often found in the nightstands of grown women.
I’m usually down with collector’s edition mounts, but this, just like the MoP Quilen, get a hard pass. MoP turned out to be awesome so maybe it’s a good sign?
Opinions vary. Mine? The cost for the Epic version is chump change - not even one decent dinner out for my wife and I and couple of drinks - and for it I get a month of gametime, a boost, and a mog/mount/pet combo I like. That’s more than good enough.
