The whole “retroactively, two xpacs later she was gonna do this thing” holds no water. Everyone knew Sylvanas was evil. You could justify anything by saying “but she was evil!”
Also, she did not “leave the Alliance to die on the Broken Shore.” We know that. She sounded a retreat, which they heard. When you have a high flank of archers, part of their job is to watch over your part of the battle. The Azeroth army was f’d. The Horde flank had already collapsed and there were too many demons.
She sounded a retreat, and that was the Alliance’s cue to gfto of dodge, which they then did. That was exactly what she should have done in these circumstances.
Plus, she was following orders from her Warchief. Sylvanas did nothing wrong (in that case.)
Also, Genn locked up both the Forsaken army and the Worgen army during Legion, during a cease-fire, after Anduin specifically told him not to. And the half-fragment of note you find (the Horde finds it too, so I know how totally uninformative it is) wasn’t why he did it, because he kept screaming “send out the Banshee Queen, we know she’s there!” at the Forsaken while they were being bombarded.
The Forsaken didn’t know what Sylvanas was doing, she left all of us completely in the dark. And he didn’t use his worgen army to stop her. So him locking up all those troops was both 100% unnecessary and counter-productive, as well as breaking the cease-fire.
So no. Genn was wrong. It would be nice if just once the Alliance playerbase (and the Alliance writers, frankly) would take some responsibility.

So Jaina died then? The woman who can freeze an ocean, teleport a whole crowd of people, fly a boat around and dispel Blight?
Or the one who this expac got the only other major Alliance storyline when she became the literal avatar of a god?

Why would you assume Sylvanas is safe, unless there’s another forsaken leader?
Sylvanas isn’t the leader of the Forsaken.
She disowned them along side of the horde as a whole.
If anyone dies this expansion, sylvanas should be one of them.

Perhaps not, but the key there is good writing.
If you’re going to off a character as a Writer, you’d better be ready to deal with the consequences, especially if they’re a character who is part of a power structure. Which is why if you don’t want to be dealing with upsetting the power structure, you should have someone ready to fill the empty spot. That way the chaos that results from the character’s death is minimized.
I mean, I guess thrall is a warrior with a mana bar then huh? Looks like I win.

Dude I literally proved everything you threw at me wrong and you keep changing your argument and repeating yourself over and over.
And as for mana bars? You do realize that it’s pretty much never accurate right? Sylvanas has a mana bar even though she’s a Hunter, while Alleria actually has a focus bar. Illidan even has a Mana Bar, heck Lor’themar too!
Also, pretty much every character just auto-attacks.
Listen, if you’re not using your powers as a Shaman, you’re just not a Shaman for the time being. Sure you can become one again, but right now you’re just not a Shaman.

No you dingus sylvanas is not a hunter she is a differenr class and evertoje thats been a warrior has had an empty bar. While xasrers or mana users have a mana bar. Please try again i destoryed your argument with a bery onvious fact of mana bar and he does zero warrior moves. Warrior heros always use blade storm thrall only auto attacks. You lose. Yeah, I know the difficult thing for me is always choosing a successor for GM if I ever carked it, it’s frustrating to do so, as sometimes I feel like Palpatine from Star Wars, tempted to order the destruction of my empire if anything ever happened to me.
That said, despite the accusations on this forum of me being sexist towards girls, my successor will most likely be one of the women I am close to, i.e. one of the ones that weren’t huge trouble makers like so many are.
